The Indian-American new age spiritual guru Dr. Deepak Chopra has forged a partnership with the sleep tech company Elemind. They will combine the power of Chopra’s guided meditations with Elemind’s brainwave modulating headband.
The 21 Days of Restful Sleep with Dr. Deepak Chopra & Elemind initiative was officially announced on Mar. 10. Elemind’s wearable device tracks brain signals using electroencephalography (EEG) technology and delivers audio to the user that modulates brainwaves and promotes sleep onset, in a nutshell.
“Pair audio guided pre-sleep meditations by Dr. Deepak Chopra with Elemind’s sleep neurostimulation for 21 days to develop a new and restful sleep routine,” Elemind chief executive, Meredith Perry, described in a social media post.
Chopra says he was one of the first people to test the Elemind device and that he was “blown away” by how quickly it enabled him to fall asleep. An EEG reading from the gadget last year showed that it was able to put him into a deep state of rest within only 8.5 minutes.
“By combining mindfulness practices with cutting-edge technology, we aim to enhance well-being and vitality on a global scale” Chopra stated in the announcement.
Elemind is currently developing an artificial intelligence-powered “Sleep Tailor” feature to further enhance the device’s capabilities.
Chopra is a co-founder of Cyberhuman AI: a company that has provides its subscribers with virtual well-being assistants who offer them 24/7 spiritual and health guidance. One of the most popular of these “AI Twins,” DeepakChopra.ai, is meant to replicate him. He is renowned for publishing several books on spirituality, quantum mechanics, alternative medicine, new age therapies and human consciousness.

Elemind has been researching ‘electric medicine’ for 5 years
The sleep technology developer has been rigorously testing its headband in clinical studies.
In two assessments involving 112 subjects, the product demonstrated the ability to make 76 per cent of participants fall asleep faster than they would without it. They had a 48 per cent reduction in sleep onset latency on average.
The company has emphasized that its electric medicine offers sleep aid efficacy comparable to pharmaceutical supplements, but without unwanted side effects.
Elemind emerged from stealth with US$12 million in seed funding last February. Its device costs US$349.
Well-known news outlets like Forbes, USA Today, MIT News, TechCrunch and VentureBeat have written about the tech manufacturer.
