Cue Health (NASDAQ:HLTH) launched its same-day, at-home, test-to-treatment solution, CueCare testing solution for COVID-19 today.

Cue Care directly services people in 50 states who test positive using Cue’s COVID-19 tests, and can now use the Cue Health App to get a virtual consultation with a healthcare professional about their test result, get an e-prescription for a medication to treat the virus and get the medication typically in hours, or have it available for pickup at their local pharmacy.

“Early diagnosis and treatment have shown to lead to better health outcomes, which is why we’re proud to deliver timely testing and treatment all within the Cue Health App. Cue Care meets the need today for convenient delivery of COVID-19 treatment, and this capability will support our expanding pipeline of future diagnostics tests,” said Ayub Khattak, chairman and CEO of Cue Health.

Cue Health is a healthcare technology company that’s working on facilitating connections between individuals and health information, and positions diagnostic information at the centre of care. The company’s niche is to help people manage their health through actionable, real-time and connected health information, giving patients and healthcare professionals alike easy access to lab quality diagnostics anywhere via a mobile device.

The company expects to push its new service out to patients who test positive on any COVID-19 test, including the at-home antigen tests, within the next few weeks. The Cue Care antiviral delivery service retails between USD$79 and $99 and includes a virtual visit with a health professional and medication delivery, which is covered presently by the U.S. Department of Health and Human and Human Services.

Cue Health expects that Cue Care will extend out past COVID-19 in the near future, applying the solution to a range of diagnostic tests in Cue’s pipeline for which specific treatments are available. This includes influenza, which will be able to use Cue Care to connect to a healthcare professional and potentially get same day delivery for a flu antiviral, all from within the app. After that, Cue Care could be expanded to include other respiratory infections like strep throat, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and maybe sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Cue has an accurate at-home COVID-19 test, which is capable of giving results in 20 minutes to connected mobile devices. It detects all the known variants of COVID-19, and is regularly used in homes, in doctor’s offices and other point-of-care settings, and also by organizations across the United States including Johns Hopkins Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Google, the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball.
