Since legalization back in October, National Access Cannabis Corp (NAC) has generated sales of more than $20 million through its retail network. Previously, The Company had said it had done a little over $10 million in the first 80 days, and now with 140 days gone by, that number has doubled.

The rave reviews that cannabidiol (CBD) has been earning from many patients has not gone unnoticed. Many athletes use CBD, including those that play in the National Hockey League (NHL). And recently, the NHL Alumni Association agreed to work with cannabis giant Canopy Growth Corp. to conduct one or more studies relating to its use.

It's not hard to find anecdotes of how CBD has helped provide patients with pain relief, normally after exhausting all other options. The problem, however, is that there isn't a lot of data behind those claims and finding hard facts and numbers on the effectiveness of CBD is very difficult.

An investment bank out of New York thinks that in a decade the cannabis industry could grow to be $130 billion. Jeffries Group, the company behind the estimate, is relying on assumptions that we'll see legalization progress around the world.

The Colorado Department of Revenue recently updated its numbers for the past year, and 2018 finished with sales of $1.545 billion, which is only 2.5% up from 2017. However, marijuana sales since legalization have now totaled more than $6 billion.
