Canadian cannabis giant Canopy Growth Corporation (TSX: WEED) (Nasdaq: CGC) has struck an exclusive deal with American convenience chain Circle K to sell a new CBD vape.
On Tuesday, the company said its first CBD vape, whisl, will be available in more than 3,000 Circle K stores in the U.S. starting Oct. 1.
Canopy is branding whisl as a way to “manage your mood and experience the benefits of CBD” and offers three options for 200-milligram vape pods.
“At Canopy Growth, we are pioneering the concept of using CBD to help consumers manage their moods at any given time of day,” said Andy Lytwynec, vice president of Canopy’s global vape business. “With whisl, we want to empower consumers to quickly achieve focus, calmness or prepare for sleep with a modern CBD solution that is fast-acting and can fit seamlessly into anyone’s daily routine.”
Whisl pods contain CBD isolate sourced from licensed hemp providers within the U.S.
The firm says the vape conveys effects “within seconds or minutes” instead of a “longer onset” with ingested CBD.
Shopcanopy.com, which the firm launched in the U.S. last year, is also carrying the CBD vape.

Its suggested retail price is $39.99 for the whisl starter kit, and $19.99 per package containing two 200-milligram pods.
The Circle K vape rollout is Canopy’s largest national retail launch so far, the company adds.
On Wednesday, company stock slid 0.54 per cent to $18.47 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
