Green Thumb Industries Inc. (CSE: GTII) (OTCQX: GTBIF) will soon be expanding its retail footprint with the help of a new lease agreement from a well-known convenience store chain.
On Wednesday, the Chicago-based cannabis company announced that it would be launching 10 new “RISE Express” dispensary outlets adjoining a series of Circle K locations throughout Florida beginning in 2023.
The new shops will provide medical cannabis patients with a series of products such as &Shine vapes, RYTHM premium flower, incredibles gummies and Dogwalkers pre-rolls.

In accordance with the exclusive new agreement, Green Thumb will be leasing space from Circle K in an assortment of its Florida locations. The convenience store chain has approximately 600 stores in the Sunshine State.
“The opening of RISE Express stores at Circle K locations is a game-changer. Convenience is a strong channel in retail, and people want more access to cannabis,” said Ben Kovler, founder and CEO of Green Thumb.
“The new RISE Express model is a huge step forward in making it easier and more efficient for patients to purchase high-quality cannabis as part of their everyday routine when stopping by their local convenience store.”
The merchandise available at these retail outlets will be supplied by a new 28-acre cultivation facility located in Ocala, FL that the company plans to have fully operational by the end of the year. The company also currently owns a cultivation facility in Homestead, FL.
Green Thumb made its way into Florida’s medical cannabis market in 2018 and currently has a series of dispensaries in West Palm Beach, Bonita Springs, Pinellas Park, Deerfield Beach, Kendall, Hallandale Beach and Oviedo.
