Resolution gains second FAST-41 designation as U.S. speeds critical minerals permitting

Resolution said Golden Gate marks its second project to receive FAST-41 status

Resolution Minerals Ltd (OTCMKTS: RLMLF) (FRA: NC3) (ASX: RML) received FAST-41 Transparency status for its Golden Gate tungsten project in Idaho.

Announced on Friday, it gives the company a second U.S. permitting priority as the Trump administration pushes to expand domestic supplies of critical minerals.

The designation places Golden Gate on the federal FAST-41 Transparency Dashboard, a permitting framework designed to speed approvals for major infrastructure and resource projects. Additionally, the move follows President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at increasing American mineral production and reducing dependence on foreign suppliers for strategic materials.

Resolution said Golden Gate marks its second project to receive FAST-41 status after the Antimony Ridge target joined the program in April 2026. Together, the two prospects form the company’s primary development targets within its 15,000-acre Horse Heaven tungsten-antimony-gold project in Idaho.

FAST-41 allows federal agencies to coordinate reviews and establish clearer permitting timelines for projects considered important to national interests. Furthermore, the framework seeks to accelerate development of infrastructure and resource projects that support U.S. economic and national security priorities.

The company also said it worked closely with the U.S. Permitting Council and several federal agencies throughout the review process. Officials determined the company’s American assets could help address domestic shortages of critical metals and reduce reliance on overseas production.

Golden Gate includes a former tungsten mine that operated intermittently between about 1952 and 1980. Additionally, the historical operation reportedly produced tungsten grading between 1.5 and 2.0 per cent.

Resolution has also already submitted a Plan of Operations for Golden Gate to the U.S. Forest Service, which accepted the proposal for review.

FAST-41 status opens doors for investors

Meanwhile, the plan includes new roads connecting the Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South areas, along with permission for as many as 340 drill holes and 2,000 feet of trenching during exploration.

The Horse Heaven property sits beside Perpetua Resources Corp (TSE: PPTA) (NASDAQ: PPTA) and its recently permitted Stibnite Gold Project, valued at about AUD$3.5 billion. In addition, the location places Resolution beside one of the largest advanced critical minerals developments in the United States.

Company officials said combining Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge creates opportunities to build an integrated critical minerals business. Additionally, the strategy extends beyond exploration to include metallurgy and potential downstream processing within the United States.

Resolution also expects FAST-41 status to improve discussions with investors interested in projects supporting American critical minerals policy. Further, the company believes the designation could also strengthen its planned NASDAQ listing by increasing visibility among U.S. investors.

Craig Lindsay, chief executive of U.S. operations, said receiving FAST-41 coverage for Golden Gate gives Resolution two separate projects within the federal program. He said he is unaware of another critical metals company with two FAST-41 development targets.

Lindsay added that Golden Gate forms an important part of the company’s plan to establish a U.S.-based critical minerals platform. Furthermore, he said exploration work, processing infrastructure and multiple development options are beginning to align at Horse Heaven, positioning the company to benefit from continued demand for antimony, tungsten and gold.

Several developers emphasized domestic resources

Resolution joins a growing group of companies positioning U.S. antimony projects as potential answers to Washington’s supply concerns. Several developers have emphasized domestic resources, proposed processing capacity and proximity to existing infrastructure as they seek federal support.

Furthermore, NevGold Corp (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50) continues advancing its Limousine Butte antimony-gold project in Nevada. It’s targeting potential production as early as 2027. The brownfield property already contains stockpiled crushed and run-of-mine material, which could reduce development timelines. Meanwhile, Military Metals (CNSX: MILI) (OTCMKTS: MILIF) (FSE: QN90) has expanded its portfolio through acquisitions in North America and Europe.
