Ontario police seize 2,400 weed plants from illicit grow

The police estimate of the weed is worth around $1.2 million

Police in Ontario say they’ve dismantled an illicit cannabis grow, seizing more than $1 million worth of plants and dried weed as a result.

In a statement, Ontario Provincial Police say the raid happened on Saturday at an address on Talbot Road in Leamington.

Police seized more than 2,400 plants at various stages of growth, more than 1,600 grams of packaged illicit weed and cannabis processing equipment.

No arrests were mentioned.

The OPP is asking anyone with information to contact them.
