Naturally Splendid Enterprises (TSXV:NSP) has offered a suite of plant-based food offerings to Vancouver Giant’s fans during home games at the Langley Event Centre (LEC), including Plantein nuggets, schnitzel and sweet chili tenders.

The idea to provide plant-based options to Giants fans piling into the LEC was originally brought forward by the Vancouver Giants Hockey Club who play their home games there. The Giants want to provide their fans with the best possible options to enhance their experience while attending games, and part of that is adding additional menu choices.

“We are more than pleased to be a Vancouver Giants Partner. In addition to supplying the LEC with Plantein entrees, we will also be providing Plantein products to the families that billet the Giant’s hockey players as well as supporting various Giant’s activities such as the Tail Gate Event at the LEC prior to the team’s season opener September 23rd. The Vancouver Giants are ingrained in the community and the LEC is one of Langley’s highest profile facilities. We are pleased to begin this relationship with Vancouver Giants the LEC and as we continue to grow our presence in the community as well,” said J. Craig Goodwin, CEO of Naturally Splendid.

The Vancouver Giants are a major junior ice hockey team operating in the Western Hockey League (WHL). The club is led by majority owner and BC-based businessman, Ron Toigo. The giants are considered among the best of major junior hockey clubs in all North America, having reached and won the Memorial Cup. Beyond that, the hockey club has garnered sufficient community respect for being involved in several charitable initiatives through its “Be A Giant Foundation.”

Conversely, the Langley Events Centre is a facility in the Township of Langley, BC, and is home to Vancouver Giants, the Fraser Valley Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, the Langley Thunder Lacrosse Teams, Trinity Western University teams and also hosts multiple tournaments per year as well as other non-sports related activities like conventions, concerts and tradeshows.

“Its especially important to the Giants to ensure we are providing the best possible fan experience both on and off the ice. Our fans have asked for additional menu choices at home games and we have delivered by adding Plantein entrees to the already existing selection of fan favourites,” said Dale Saip, Vancouver Giants senior vice president.
