Scorpio Gold Corp (CVE: SGN) (OTCMKTS: SRCRF) (FRA: RY9) has turned in eye-catching new drilling results from its Manhattan project in mining-friendly Nevada.
On April. 16, the junior revealed an assay returning 2.09 grams of gold per tonne over a considerable length of 22.5 metres. Most notably, a standout 0.85-metre stretch inside that interval held 45 g/t Au. These hits build on other strong intercepts from the Black Mammoth zone, where step-out holes have extended known gold areas by hundreds of metres.
The Manhattan district occupies a prime section of Nevada’s gold belt near the large Round Mountain mine held by Kinross Gold Corp (TSE: K) (NYSE: KGC) (ETR: KIN2). Scorpio Gold owns the full 4,780-hectare property after combining several past-producing sites.
Last September, the company released its first resource estimate of 740,000 ounces of gold. Multiple drill rigs now test fresh targets and link historic workings.
Scorpio aims to grow the resource past 2 million ounces at grades above 1 gram per tonne through a 50,000-metre campaign in the coming year. The company already operates a permitted mill on site that supports future development.

Industry observer voices bullish outlook
Mining analyst Jeff Clark has strong confidence in Scorpio Gold’s recent progress. As founder of The Gold Advisor newsletter, Clark has earned respect for his direct style and proven ability to spotlight promising junior gold companies. He currently has an X following of nearly 53,000 users.
Clark follows Scorpio closely and regularly features the stock among his top recommendations. The mining enthusiast highlights the steady expansion at Manhattan.
“Mineralization at Manhattan keeps expanding for Scorpio Gold,” he wrote last month. “The company pushed drilling roughly 250 metres beyond the current resource and still returned solid results. That’s what you want to see.”
He notes the district’s favourable geology and recommends the shares as a buy. Other analyst coverage has included a positive quick-look report from Paul O’Brien at Velocity Trade Capital, who visited the site in March 2026 and emphasized the clear path to resource growth.
Scorpio’s hits stand out among Nevada juniors
These latest intercepts place Scorpio Gold ahead of several peers when it comes to Nevada junior explorers. The exceptional richness of that high-grade interval stands out sharply.
Another local prospector, NevGold Corp (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50), just posted encouraging near-surface gold results at its Limousine Butte project. These fell short of Scorpio’s new precious metal assays, but their consistent antimony content brings added economic potential.
Additionally, Westward Gold Inc (CNSX: WG) (OTCMKTS: WGLIF) (FRA: IM50) recently discovered a fresh gold zone at its Toiyabe Hills property. Drilling returned 10.7 metres grading 0.94 g/t Au that included 3.1 metres at 2.50 g/t Au. Furthermore, Nevada Sunrise Metals Corp (CVE: NEV) (OTCMKTS: NVSGF) (FRA: K4L) confirmed reliable mineralization at its Griffon project in March by resampling historic core and delivering 50.2 metres at 1.013 grams per tonne. This core included 10.7 metres at 1.97 g/t Au.
