California’s private company MOZA Technology has created a unique multi-purpose eye-massaging sleep mask. It was recently showcased at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It uses a combination of light, massage and heat therapy to help alleviate anxiety, stress and insomnia. The company claims that will enable a user to fall asleep within 10 minutes.

“The MOZA Sleepris, [is] thoughtfully designed to incorporate light wave therapy technology, can alleviate insomnia, anxiety, dry eyes and scattered attention,” Founder Morgan Chen said Monday. The mask accomplishes this by using eight micro-massage points that help stimulate blood flow, according to MOZA.

The company says it can regulate a person’s melatonin levels with near-infrared light waves. It uses seven layers of fabric to block out external light and is connected to disposable ear plugs to eliminate noise. It is designed to be worn all night.

The device has four different modes: sleep, relax, focus and warmth. “For example, in Focus mode, alternating colors sync with your breathing at seven cycles per minute to rapidly enhance focus,” the company says.

The Sleepris device costs US$199 in North America. MOZA says the first 50 orders will get a 50 per cent discount. The company will ship to Europe, Australia, Japan and several other places throughout the world as well.

MOZA creates neck massaging device too

The tech developer, established in 2020, has also created “AI RoboHands,” a portable neck massaging device. It is equipped with eight massage heads and a silent brushless motor.

The company claims that it targets a person’s lymph nodes to enhance lymphatic circulation, thereby boosting their immunity.

MOZA says its products are inspired by Chinese and American expertise. The company’s mission is to “enhance people’s quality of life through technology.”

MOZA won Germany’s Red Dot design award last year for the Sleepris device. Red Dot’s award is prestigious and its annual competition has been ongoing since 1955.

“The softly padded MOZA EYE combines sophisticated technology with a futuristic design language,” Red Dot said.
