A multi-location dispensary chain in Southern California has partnered with local food banks and other community members to help ensure that Long Beach families have a happy Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Haven Dispensaries announced its upcoming turkey giveaway on Monday and plans to provide 200 birds to families who may have trouble finding or affording one on Tuesday.

“High cost and limited numbers of turkeys across California has made it difficult for many individuals to afford, let alone find quality turkeys this year,” says the dispensary chain.

The giveaway will be held at Haven’s Long Beach location on Tuesday, Nov. 22 between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m and the dispensary chain promises it will be an amazing event.

“We at Haven make it a priority to give back to our community not only during the Holiday Season, but all year long,” said Mike Simonian, Founder of Haven Dispensaries.

“Our neighbors do so much for us and it’s always an amazing opportunity when we can lend a helping hand and give back to those in need.”

The event was organized by the dispensaries charitable arm, Haven Hearts, which has organized other events in the past such as a toy drive and street clean up. The organization has raised thousands of dollars through various charitable endeavours in the community over the past year which it intends to use for good causes in California.
