Green Thumb Industries Inc (CNSX: GTII) (OTCMKTS: GTBIF) and Agrify Corp (NASDAQ: AGFY) just revealed that they will be providing music enthusiasts with cannabinoid merchandise at the popular Chicago concert venue “The Salt Shed.”
This staple location is known to have hosted major names like Death Cab for Cutie, Iggy Pop and The Roots.
Green Thumb, operator of the RISE Dispensaries chain, will set up a retail outlet at the location designated as RISE at Salt Shed. Its establishment marks the music venue’s most extensive cannabis collaboration to date, the company says.
“Cannabis and music are inextricably linked, and the ability to purchase these products on-site to elevate the concertgoing experience is long overdue,” Green Thumb chief executive, Ben Kovler, said in a press release on Friday.
Agrify will be providing concert attendees with its flagship, THC-infused, Mexican-style mocktail “Señorita.” It will be available at Green Thumb’s retail hub and the rest of the event venue’s bars. This and the other delta-9 products being offered by Green Thumb are hemp-derived, meaning they contain less than 0.3 per cent THC and are only mildly psychoactive.
“Non-alcohol category offerings are becoming more and more popular amongst concertgoers,” 16″ on Center CFO, Victor David Giron, said in a statement. His company or “hospitality collective” manages The Salt Shed and other music venues throughout Chicago.
The Salt Shed’s outdoor section, known as The Fairgrounds, can host up to 5,000 people. Meanwhile the indoor area, referred to as The Shed, can fit 3,600. The renowned EDM duo Zeds Dead blasted their beats there last month.

Not Green Thumb’s 1st contribution to Illinois’ weed & music scene
In late 2023, the public marijuana operator’s subsidiary Rythm Premium Cannabis helped host “The Miracle in Mundelein.”
It was the first concert in the state to openly permit cannabis consumption on-site. The festival featured popular names known to blend marijuana themes into their music, like Cypress Hill.
This event made its second annual appearance in the town of Mundelein last year and featured Wiz Khalifa, Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon the Chef, Shwayze and many others.
Illinois rakes in about US$40 million from cannabis sales every month. A study completed last summer by the state’s Cannabis Regulation Oversight Office determined that Illinois has the country’s most diverse industry.
Recreational bud has been legal for residents since the beginning of 2020.
