Estithmar Holding wins QAR500M‑plus MEEZA data-centre contract
Elegancia will deliver the Qatari facility in two phases, but the companies gave no power rating or completion date.

A Sept. 24 construction award worth more than QAR 500 million gives a planned Qatari AI data centre a builder, while its power rating and completion date remain undisclosed. After reporting QAR 1.455 billion in first-quarter revenue on April 29, Estithmar Holding Q.P.S.C. QSEIGRD, the Qatari contracting and healthcare group, said its Elegancia arm won the job.
The issuer's Sept. 24 statement names MEEZA as customer and says construction will run in two phases. It provides no megawatt capacity, deadline for either phase, payment schedule or expected margin. Those omissions leave the size of the facility and the timing of revenue from the award open.
MEEZA QSTP-LLC, the Qatari data-centre and managed IT services operator commissioning the building, describes it as part of its cloud and AI expansion. Elegancia Contracting & Industries is Estithmar's integrated contracting and industrial arm. Its turnkey assignment covers site preparation, construction, mechanical and electrical systems, ICT, security, fire protection, controls, testing and final handover.
The Qatar Stock Exchange lists Estithmar under IGRD, but no timed Sept. 24 quote was available, leaving the share reaction unmeasured. At more than QAR 500 million, the contract's face value exceeds one-third of the QAR 1.455 billion in first-quarter revenue Estithmar reported on April 29.
The Two Phases Have No Published Completion Dates
Estithmar's Sept. 24 statement assigns the full delivery cycle to Elegancia, from civil works through commissioning, without identifying the site, rated load or a completion milestone. It does not break the contract value between the two phases or the Elegancia units named in the work plan. The disclosed amount therefore cannot be turned into a forecast of annual contracting revenue or margin.
“The MEEZA Data Center award, valued at more than QAR 500 million, reflects the strong momentum across Estithmar Holding and the strategic capabilities we have built to support Qatar’s next phase of economic growth,” Estithmar chief executive Basel Shaddad said in the Sept. 24 release.
Shaddad calls the building AI-ready, but the release gives no electrical load, cooling specification, rack density or tenant acceptance test. The claim remains unmeasured in the published terms, even though the work covers electromechanical services, steel and data-centre construction. The capacity that MEEZA can sell from this project will depend on specifications and commissioning results the companies have yet to disclose.
A separate Sept. 10 stadium award gives Estithmar's Elegancia Arabia Trading arm a SAR 829 million contract with an execution schedule from September 2026 to May 2030. The MEEZA statement, by comparison, has no project dates or comparable margin figure. Both awards add to announced contracting work, but the two releases do not say when either will produce cash receipts.
MEEZA Reported 18 Megawatts Before The New Award
MEEZA's July 28 first-half results put revenue for the six months ended June 30 at QAR 217.3 million and net profit at QAR 30.1 million. MEEZA said it had completed a four-megawatt expansion, bringing its total data-centre capacity to 18 megawatts at full occupancy. Those figures describe MEEZA's existing capacity; neither company has given a capacity figure for Elegancia's new building.
In a separate Sept. 7 announcement, MEEZA said it had signed a lease worth more than QAR 1 billion for eight megawatts of operational capacity with an unnamed global hyperscaler. That is MEEZA's customer agreement, while Estithmar's Sept. 24 statement covers a construction award. Neither statement identifies the same site or says the leased capacity will come from Elegancia's project.
MEEZA secured a QAR 1.6 billion financing facility on July 30 for its development program. The funding supports continued work on M-VAULT 6, 7 and 8. MEEZA's July 30 plan called for roughly 44 megawatts of added capacity and more than 60 megawatts in total. Its financing notice does not assign proceeds to Estithmar's contract, and the construction award does not identify which M-VAULT project Elegancia will build.
Mugglehead's Sept. 23 account of Hammond Power Solutions' transformer plant follows the equipment side of data-centre expansion. Estithmar's contract includes electrical systems, but its Sept. 24 release names no transformer supplier or procurement budget. A named equipment order would establish a further step between the award and a working facility.

Estithmar gave no date for its next project update or for either construction phase. Its next financial filing, whose date is not stated in the cited releases, is the next place to test whether the award appears in reported contracting results. A design load and completion timetable still await disclosure.
