The Spirit Plant Medicine Conference (SPMC) will be returning to Vancouver this year and is scheduled to enlighten attendees between November 4-6 online and in-person.

The conference with a “ceremonial feel” will be making its 11th appearance in the Canadian coastal city and will be hosted by author and psychedelic advocate, Stephen Gray. Attendees will have the option to purchase general admission or VIP tickets if they are “Very Into Plants.” VIP admission will include reserved seating, access to an exclusive afterparty and a special cannabis ceremony.

The event will begin on a Friday at the University of British Columbia, concluding the evening with a screening of DOSED 2: The Trip of A Lifetime. The conference will be held on the second floor of the Alma Mater Society (AMS) Student Nest.

The conference was founded by Andrew Rezmer following a life-altering experience with psychedelic plant medicines. Rezmer’s company, the Conscious Living Network, has been organizing the SPMC since its inception. Stephen Gray has led the conference since it started 11 years ago in partnership with Marc Caron, a consultant and long-time plant medicine advocate.

“Huachuma Collective: Bio-cultural Sustainability for the San Pedro Cactus” is an example of a topic that will be discussed on Friday by Laurel Sugden and Josip Orlovac Del Río, a PhD student at UBC and a Peruvian expert on the San Pedro cactus.

“Protecting the Sacred Peyote Territory of Wirikuta for All Life on Earth” is the title of a presentation that will be given by Miguel Carillo and Rafael Pizano on Saturday, an Indigenous musician and peyote advocate and his uncle, a medicine man of the Wixárika Nation.

Sisters in Psychedelics and Filament Health Corp. (OTCQB: FLHLF) (NEO: FH) (FSE: 7QS) are examples of sponsors for this year’s event.

Presenters will include Philippe Lucas, a cannabis and psychedelic researcher and founding board member of MAPS Canada; April Liu, a community organizer and writer with media projects that have been featured on CBC; Chief Phil Lane Jr, a member of the Ihanktonwan Dakota and Chickasaw Nations; Jamie Wheal, a renowned author and wilderness guide; and Wade Davis, a photographer, writer, filmmaker and professor of anthropology at UBC.

“When understood and used in optimal conditions and effectively integrated into the daily walk, the psychedelic, sacramental healing and awakening plants and related substances are arguably the most potent allies and tools available to struggling humanity in these tumultuous times,” says Rezmer and the conference organizers.

A renowned didjeridu master from Australia named “Shine” will also be there to offer Indigenous sound healing to those in attendance.

Vendors present at the event will include Morningstar Conservancy, Osmosis, Wood Vibe Tribe and many others.

“Our speakers have included influential ceremonialists, therapists, philosophers, visionary mystics, advocates, activists, and academics – always with a keen eye on sharing ‘actionable’ information and inspiration for individual and collective healing for a planet in transition.”

“You are warmly invited to join us for this seminal and potentially life-altering event, for yourself and for all our relatives on the beautiful blue planet.”

Organizers have created a rather psychedelic YouTube video to help promote the upcoming event.
