Vancouver’s Nevada Sunrise Metals Corp. (TSX-V: NEV) (OTC: NVSGF) has appointed Surrey’s ABH Engineering to conduct a series of engineering studies at its Gemini lithium project in Esmerelda County, Nevada.
The junior mining company announced the partnership on Monday pursuant to which ABH has initiated data verification and desktop analysis of lithium discoveries made through drill programs undertaken by Nevada Sunrise in the past two years. ABH’s objective will be to produce a National Instrument (NI) 43-101-compliant technical report for the project prior to crafting a preliminary economic assessment.
Companies that list their shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, NEO Stock Exchange or Canadian Securities Exchange are required to abide by the Canadian Securities Administration’s NI 43-101 requisites for distributing any information related to mineral properties.
The Gemini property consists of 582 unpatented placer and lode claims near the state’s town of Lida and Nevada Sunrise says it has a similar geological setting to the Clayton Valley basin where Albemarle Corporation’s (NYSE: ALB) Silver Peak lithium operation has been operating since 1966.
According to Nevada Sunrise, ABH has helped mining companies avert the release of an untold amount of CO2, add over 40 per cent net present value to their projects and boosted the economics of those projects in an environmentally friendly way.

The Gemini lithium operation is located next to the Bureau of Land Management’s Gold Point Solar Energy Zone, an area reserved for solar and wind power projects for the next 10 years.
Nevada Sunrise discovered new lithium mineralization at the Gemini project through two reverse circulation boreholes drilled last spring prior to finding more mineralization after additional drilling completed between October 2022 to April 2023.

The company announced early last month that it had metallurgical testing completed on in-sediment mineralization at the project which yielded a 90.2 per cent lithium extraction rate. The testing was conducted by American Assay Laboratories and ALS Global USA.
Nevada Sunrise shares stayed flat at $0.11 Monday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
