Miata Metals drills 43.0m at 2.42 g/t gold at Sela Creek
Miata says four connecting holes establish a 1.5-kilometre mineralized corridor between Jons Trend and Big Berg.

Miata Metals Corp. CVEMMET OTCMKTSMMETF FRA8NQ reported on Tuesday that drilling returned 43.0 metres at 2.42 grams per tonne gold at Sela Creek in Suriname. Four connecting holes support what Miata describes as a continuous 1.5-kilometre mineralized trend between Jons Trend and Big Berg.
Shares closed one cent lower at C$0.73 on the TSX Venture Exchange at 4:00 p.m. EDT on Oct. 19 CVEMMET, before the assay announcement.
The highlighted interval came from hole 26DDH-JT-025 and began at a down-hole depth of 191.0 metres. It included 4.0 metres at 17.11 grams per tonne gold.
The Oct. 20 batch covers 14 diamond drill holes from an ongoing 25,000-metre program. Miata says the connected corridor remains open along its length and at depth, and plans more drilling to establish continuity and define its limits.
"With gold mineralization at Jons Trend starting at surface and extending to at least 250 m depth, these results support further evaluation of Jons Trend as a potential open-pit target," chief executive Jacob (Jaap) Verbaas said in the release.
The latest Jons Trend intercept came from a 130-metre step-out. The earlier hole, reported on Sept. 29, returned 35.25 metres at 3.41 grams per tonne gold.
Hole 26DDH-JT-025 also returned a shallower gold interval. That interval began at 132.0 metres and returned 25.6 metres at 1.96 grams per tonne gold.
The shallower interval included 1.49 metres at 17.51 grams per tonne gold.
Drilling between the discoveries encountered multiple mineralized vein zones. One connecting hole returned 12.5 metres at 1.62 grams per tonne gold, starting at a depth of 75.0 metres.
Miata says the targets share quartz vein arrays in folded metasedimentary rocks, with alteration and sulphide mineralization along the corridor.
The Big Berg holes extended its known mineralized footprint approximately 150 metres west and northwest. One hole there returned 14.1 metres at 2.23 grams per tonne gold from a down-hole depth of 80.5 metres.
The reported intervals describe lengths along the drill holes. Miata's open-pit interpretation remains an exploration target, with further drilling planned to test the mineralized system's extent.

Miata is a gold explorer with a 70 per cent interest in Sela Creek and an option to acquire the rest, according to its October corporate presentation.
Its investor centre, checked on Oct. 20, describes the 25,000-metre campaign as fully funded. The program-status table is dated June 1 and leaves the pending-assay count blank.
Miata plans further drilling under its 2026 campaign to establish continuity and define the corridor's limits; the reviewed disclosures do not establish a date for the next assays.
