The first cannabis company to ever be publicly traded in the United States has announced news of a successful media endeavour in South America.

On Thursday, Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC: MJNA) revealed that its subsidiary HempMeds Brasil had successfully organized a new “PodioCast” dedicated to health, wellness, CBD and cannabis.

Popularity of the new podcast has helped HempMeds be featured in multiple high-rated news publications in Brazil including SportLife, Desobediência Produtiva and Globo’s Galileu Magazine.

The PodioCast will be hosted by HempMeds Marketing Specialist and accomplished journalist, Marcus Bruno; HempMeds Brasil Executive Director, Matheus Patelli; and YouTube star, Rachel Apollonio.  Episodes will contain interviews with medical experts and athletes regarding health/wellness challenges and practices of high-level sports professionals and modern consumers.

Medical Marijuana, Inc. describes HempMeds as a pioneer in sourcing high-grade non-psychoactive cannabis products derived from industrial hemp — and a leading authority in cannabinoid-based clinical research. The American news channel CNBC named Medical Marijuana, Inc. as a top ranking CBD producer.

HempMeds claims its prescription products help control diseases such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, chronic pain and Parkinson’s.

“The mission for our podcast is to help break the stigma of CBD and cannabis and educate people how they can incorporate it into their lives. We’ve already been able to get exclusive interviews with a variety of influential X-Games winners, MMA and boxing world champions, and other Olympic medalists and these articles have been a great help for us to promote the podcast,” said HempMeds Brasil Executive Director, Matheus Patelli.

Articles HempMeds has been featured in discuss how CBD has steadily been gaining popularity among amateur and professional athletes since the World Anti-Doping Agency removed cannabidiol from its list of banned substances in 2018.

Written segments by Brazilian publications have also praised HempMed for its dedication to educating doctors and patients about the benefits and uses of CBD since the company was formed.

The organization has been actively engaged with creating online academic resources and orchestrating virtual and in-person training programs for physicians regarding principles of the human endocannabinoid system and cannabinoid treatments.

Additionally, HempMed claims to have been involved with sponsoring international CBD seminars designed to assist patients with legal information, locating doctors and acquiring necessary financial aid.

“We are happy to have pioneered the introduction of non-psychoactive cannabis to Brazil. Our hope is that enthusiasts all over Brazil tune into the podcast to learn more and play a part in our movement,” said Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Blake Schroeder.

“We hope that our customers see that HempMeds’ new podcast is a testament to our mission to provide free and informed access to CBD around the world,” he added.
