Fobi AI Inc. (FOBI: TSXV FOBIF: OTCQB) has launched its digital loyalty and member cards and its first contract is with the Vancouver-based retailer Eggs Canna.

On Thursday, the digital technologies company announced the partnership with the retailer aiming to better engage Eggs Canna customers. Fobi will earn revenue through an initial setup fee and per-pass license fees.

With Fobi’s technology, Eggs Canada will be able to directly message its customer base and highlight featured products, educational messages, promotions, price reductions and other relevant information.

Fobi’s integration to the Barnet POS enables retailers to push out personalized and targeted promotions based on past purchase behaviour, notify customers about inventory levels for when their favourite strain is low or is back in stock and measure the overall marketing performance.

The Fobi Loyalty and A.I. shopper platform is known as the “Hub” that provides a dynamic and personalized shopper experience to help retailers understand shoppers at a “one-on-one” level.

Fobi also emphasizes how it makes it easier for retailers to conform to the strict government rules on the marketing and promotion of cannabis products.

“Improving the customer experience is always a priority for us, and then being able to improve our marketing through better targeting and segmentation and ultimately be able to measure attribution and quantify increases to the customer lifetime value make this a truly unique solution in the marketplace,” Eggs Canna director of operations Craig Lust said.

Fobi’s technology is provided by Barnet Technologies which has an in-depth involvement with the liquor and cannabis retail industries with over 50 per cent market share in B.C.

“This is a big day for us as the success of the Barnet Technologies partnership has led us into the Cannabis market which is yet another highly regulated industry that is ripe for disruption and digital transformation,” Fobi CEO Rob Anson said in a statement.

“Our digital loyalty and member card along with AltID age verification is a perfect fit for these highly regulated industries,” Anson added.

“We are always looking to work with progressive and forward-thinking brands and retailers who focus on delivering a seamless and dynamic customer experience.”
