A well-established company providing various cannabis testing services in the United States has launched a custom-designed software platform with some noteworthy new features.

On Monday, Green Scientific Labs Holdings Inc. (CNSX: GSL) announced the debut of its new and improved laboratory information management system (LIMS).

The Florida-based organization aims to help cannabis laboratories efficiently streamline their data. The new software system will be utilized at all Green Scientific lab locations commencing immediately.

Green Scientific is a company with labs designed for helping cannabis producers test products to ensure compliance with state-specific and federal regulations. Services offered by the organization include pesticide analysis, stability testing, heavy metal analysis and residual solvent analysis.

The proprietary LIMS now offered by the company will feature artificial intelligence used to maintain compliance with state requirements on certificates of analysis needed for new cannabis products. Additionally, the software will utilize real-time turnaround time (TAT) tracking to identify production flaws, guarantee the most punctual testing times possible and analyze real-time audit logs that catalogue a list of changes and occurrences recorded within the program.

“There is a huge tech component to GSL’s testing process that sets us apart from other testing labs in the industry. The LIMS that we built and used during the first three years of operations helped us service more than 1000 clients. In order to take Green Scientific Labs to the next level, support our rapid expansion, maintain turnaround times, and future-proof ourselves for eventual FDA-style regulations, we needed to take everything we learned and create something special. That’s exactly what we did,” said Michael Richmond, Chairman of Green Scientific.

Comprehensive digitization of product batch records, instantaneous verification of quality control samples and reliable audit logging are additional examples of advanced features present within the new LIMS. The software will also enable the creation of custom-tailored client packages, systematic organization of quality control target values and state-specific definitions of rules.

The company claims that improved efficiency without dependence on external development provided by the upgraded LIMS will enable the inclusive construction of new laboratories in a more time-efficient manner than the competition for those utilizing the software.

“Successful cannabis laboratories must be able to keep up with continuously evolving regulations and requirements without sacrificing quality, consistency, or accuracy,” said Dr. Kristofer Marsh, Chief Scientific Officer of Green Scientific Labs.

“Our new LIMS is faster, smarter, and perhaps most importantly, tailored specifically to our unique processes. Having full control of the technology that manages laboratory data allows us to continuously improve internal processes and create custom solutions for clients and employees,” he added.
