Curaleaf Holdings Inc (TSE: CURA) (OTCMKTS: CURLF) dominated the 2026 Business of Cannabis Awards this month by securing multiple honours, including Cannabis Clinic of the Year for its UK operations, Cannabis Team of the Year for Curaleaf Laboratories and European Company of the Year for the second time.
Curaleaf outperformed strong nominees in these categories. For the clinic award, competitors included British clinic MAMEDICA, Cantourage Group SE (ETR: HIGH) (FRA: HIGH) and Medicann. In the team category, Tilray Brands Inc (TSE: TLRY) (NASDAQ: TLRY) (FRA: 2HQ) and Cantourage stood out among nominees. For the European Company award, runners up featured Aurora Cannabis Inc (TSE: ACB) (NASDAQ: ACB) (FRA: 21P) subsidiary Aurora Europe, Bloomwell Group, Paralab Green and Somai Pharmaceuticals.
The achievement comes as Curaleaf continues to post solid results amid a challenging industry environment. In Q1, the company reported net revenue of US$324 million, up 6 per cent year-over-year, with international revenue reaching US$47 million (a 35 per cent increase). Full-year 2025 revenue stood at approximately US$1.27 billion with international segments showing strong growth.
Investors have responded positively to Curaleaf’s recent performance. Shares on the OTC Markets delivered substantial gains over the past year, with reports indicating returns exceeding 250 per cent. Management is currently advancing preparations for a potential uplisting to a major U.S. exchange like the NYSE or Nasdaq. Efforts to make this happen have included a recent 1-for-3 reverse stock split aimed at meeting listing requirements, despite negative perceptions that can have.
“I am absolutely delighted to see our teams’ genuine care and commitment recognised by the industry,” commented Curaleaf CEO Juan Pablo M. in a social media post about the event.
Village Farms International Inc (NASDAQ: VFF) (FRA: 02V) is another company that received praise. Business of Cannabis recognised this grower for its cultivation capabilities. It won the media company’s Producer of the Year award.
Village Farms’ Pure Sunfarms subsidiary in British Columbia is one of Canada’s top-selling dried flower brands. The company operates one of the world’s largest EU-GMP certified facilities and serves as a key exporter to European medical markets, with top-selling cultivars in Germany. It continually reports expanding international sales and facility upgrades.
These awards, now in their third year, started as a focused European event and have grown significantly. The 2026 edition drew nearly 250 entries from eight countries, marking the largest judging pool to date.
