BZAM receives EU GMP certification to export medical cannabis

The certification is valid until 2025

BZAM Ltd. (CSE: BZAM) (US-OTC: BZAMF) has received European Union Good Manufacturing Practices (EU GMP) certification for its cannabis production facility in Ancaster, Ontario, allowing the company to export medical cannabis products to Germany, the United Kingdom and other global markets.

The certification is valid for three years until Aug. 31, 2025. BZAM said in a statement Tuesday it will now execute on existing deals to distribute cannabis in Germany and the U.K., anticipating sales of multiple strains under its Green Organic Dutchman brand in the U.K. starting in the fourth quarter of 2023.

“We are thrilled to announce this significant milestone for the company,” said BZAM chief executive Matt Milich.

“Having laid the groundwork with key partners in Germany and the U.K., we are ready to hit the ground running as we continue expanding our distribution network in the additional markets this opens up.”

BZAM is poised to benefit from Germany’s recent move to legalize recreational cannabis use, Milich said. The company expects international sales resulting from the EU GMP certification to positively impact revenue starting in the fourth quarter of 2023.

BZAM Ltd. is a Canadian cannabis producer that carries brands including BZAM, The Green Organic Dutchman, ness, Highly Dutch Organic, TABLE TOP and partner brands Dunn Cannabis, FRESH and Wyld. BZAM has operations in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, as well as retail stores in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
