NevGold Corp (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50) reported strong antimony and gold sampling results from a historical waste dump at its Limousine Butte project in Nevada.
The company said in a Thursday press release that the material could contribute to a maiden antimony-gold mineral resource estimate now nearing completion.
The Pre-Strip Dump contains material left behind during the 1989-1990 Golden Butte pit mining operation. However, operators never processed the material during historical mining activities.
NevGold completed surface grid and grab sampling across the dump area. Additionally, the company later conducted a follow-up test-pit sampling program using methods similar to earlier work on historical gold leach pads.
The company reported antimony grades reaching as high as 53.7 per cent. Further results included six samples above 10 per cent antimony and fourteen samples exceeding two per cent antimony.
Drilling highlights include:
- LRSUD-27: 53.71per cent Sb
- LRSUD-31: 35.62 per cent Sb, 0.20 g/t Au
- LRSUD-28: 24.32 per cent Sb
- LRSUD-30: 16.68 per cent Sb, 0.21 g/t Au
- LRSUD-29: 16.27 per cent Sb, 0.16 g/t Au
NevGold said the results point to substantial high-grade antimony mineralization near surface. Meanwhile, several samples also returned measurable gold values alongside the antimony mineralization.
The company believes the dump material likely originated near the historical Nevada Antimony Mine and Lage Antimony Prospect. Operators mined both areas for high-grade antimony during the Second World War era.
NevGold identified both historical sites as priority drill targets for 2026. Furthermore, the company plans to incorporate the Pre-Strip Dump into its upcoming mineral resource estimate if pending test-pit results support inclusion.
The mineral resource estimate will also include the historical gold leach pads and nearby project targets. In addition, NevGold continues advancing work at Resurrection Ridge, Cadillac Valley and several satellite zones across the broader property.

Estimate will incorporate 130,000 metres of historical drilling
Company representatives said the resource estimate marks an important milestone for the Limousine Butte project. The estimate will represent the first modern antimony-gold mineral resource completed across the project area.
“The initial surface sampling program on the Pre-Strip Dump has yielded some of the highest antimony grades seen at Limo Butte,” said Brandon Bonifacio, NevGold CEO.
“With up to 53.7 per cent Sb, and six samples over 10 per cent Sb, we are extremely encouraged about the prospects of this newly defined area of the Project, which could further add to the at-surface, near-term antimony production scenario in addition to the historical gold leach pads.”
NevGold also said the estimate will incorporate approximately 130,000 metres of historical drilling data collected throughout the property. Consequently, the company expects the database to provide a substantial technical foundation for future development work.
Antimony has become increasingly important in recent years because of its industrial and military uses. The metal supports battery technologies, semiconductors, flame retardants and defence systems.
Western governments and mining companies have also increased their focus on securing antimony supply chains outside China. Meanwhile, several junior mining companies have accelerated exploration efforts at North American antimony projects as demand continues rising.
