Atlas Global Brands ships Snoop Dogg’s cannabis to Israel

Products from Snoop Dogg’s new cannabis brand became available at the OCS earlier this month

Ontario’s Atlas Global Brands Inc. (CSE: ATL) has successfully shipped products from Snoop Dogg’s new cannabis brand to Israel, marking the debut of D*gg lbs cannabis in the Middle Eastern country.

The new brand, pronounced “dog pounds,” is a collaboration between Atlas and the world-famous rapper Calvin Broadus Jr. initiated through an agreement in February this year. Atlas made the announcement on Wednesday and also notified the public that two D*gg lbs products are now available at the Ontario Cannabis Stores (OCS) with up to six more scheduled to become available next month.

Atlas has not specified what merchandise is now available in Ontario but D*gg lbs products will include Cryptic Chronic flower, Lodi Dodi OG blunts, Juicy OooWee distillate-infused pre-rolls and “Doggfather” buds. The new products were cultivated and produced at the company’s facility in Chatham, Ontario.

“We’re really proud to drop these products in the market and to continue expanding Snoop Dogg’s lineup of cannabis products,” said Bernie Yeung, CEO of Atlas.

Atlas currently distributes cannabis in Canada, Israel, Australia, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany and Norway.

The company announced in June that it would be ceasing operations at its facility in Gunn, Alberta and liquidating the assets of its subsidiaries operating the site, a financial optimization move that impacted 50 employees.

Atlas also recently acquired a 51 per cent stake in three private Israeli companies operating a series of medical cannabis pharmacies in the country.

The cannabis producer’s total operating expenses dropped by 6 per cent YoY in Q4 last year to $545,502.

Atlas shares dropped by 9.52 per cent on Thursday to $0.19 on the Canadian Securities Exchange. The company listed on the exchange in mid-January this year.
