FIKA opens cannabis shop at Union Station in Toronto

New retail outlet said to be first one located in a major transportation hub around the globe

A cannabis company with a series of 18 brick-and-mortar stores throughout Ontario has now opened a special new location in Canada’s most populated city.

On Thursday, FIKA announced the opening of its new location at Union Station in the heart of Toronto.

The metropolitan train station is a national historic site that attracts approximately 250,000 visitors per day, and FIKA states that the opening of its flagship location there should be considered a noteworthy accomplishment for the industry.

“It is an honour to have been selected to bring our vision and customer experience to Union Station and not one we take lightly. Union is not just Canada’s busiest building; it is a historical treasure and an architectural marvel. We’ve put every effort into creating an environment worthy of this iconic home,” said Christopher Kane, Chief Operating Officer at FIKA.
