SLB wins Oman Bisat‑B job targeting 548,000 bpd gross fluids
The facility is due within 19 months, with four years of operations support to follow; SLB did not disclose a contract value.

Sept. 23's award puts a 548,000-barrel-a-day gross fluids handling target on a 19-month completion timetable at Oman's Bisat-B facility, with SLB NYSESLB hired to deliver the expansion. The award adds 4 years of operations and maintenance work beyond construction, but SLB disclosed no contract value or dollar figure for its addition to backlog. The customer is OQ Exploration & Production (OQEP), a Muscat-listed producer, which will receive design through commissioning and then operating and maintenance services.
SLB shares fell to US$51.87 at 2:01 p.m. EDT on Sept. 23 in New York, the NYSESLB quote showed.
The contract covers engineering, procurement and construction as well as the later commissioning work. The 548,000-barrel figure is the expanded facility's planned total gross fluids handling capacity, not a disclosed increase of that size. SLB gave no starting capacity for Bisat-B and no separate figure for its daily crude-oil processing capacity.
The company said it delivered the Bisat-A facility in 2018 and the original Bisat-B in 2020. It did not identify suppliers for the expansion's processing equipment, give a construction start date or publish interim installation deadlines. The release also names no permit decision or regulator for the expansion. Completion is the only dated construction milestone in SLB's announcement.
"We are pleased to continue supporting OQEP in the development of production infrastructure for the Bisat Field," Jesus Lamas, SLB's president for the Middle East and North Africa, said in the Sept. 23 release.
Enerflex Delivered Bisat-C Ahead of Schedule
OQEP said a separate Bisat-C expansion in its Block 60 licence began taking crude on June 16, 2025. That contract was awarded Jan. 10, 2024, and the facility reached first crude in less than 18 months. Its design called for 447,000 barrels a day of additional gross fluids capacity, including 37,000 barrels a day of oil processing.
Bisat-C also had 410,000 barrels a day of produced-water treatment capacity, OQEP said. That split shows why a gross-fluids target cannot be treated as a crude-production target. SLB has not released the comparable oil and water split for Bisat-B, leaving the operational mix of the new target unknown.
Enerflex Ltd. TSEEFX NYSEEFXT built Bisat-C as OQEP's main contractor. In its Nov. 6, 2025, results, Enerflex reported US$116 million in third-quarter revenue from that expansion, with a corresponding reduction in its engineered-systems backlog. SLB's Bisat-B award has no disclosed value that would allow the same accounting comparison.

SLB reported US$8.97 billion of revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The Oman award has no published price, payment schedule or margin, so its size relative to that revenue remains unknown. The company also has not assigned the contract to a reporting division in its announcement.
Completion is the next stated milestone under SLB's Sept. 23 timetable. Its 19-month window would end around April 2028 if measured from the announcement, and SLB gave no separate first-fluids date.
