Sitka Gold Corp. (CSE: SIG) (FSE: 1RF) (OTCQB: SITKF) has achieved a significant milestone with its latest drill result at the Blackjack deposit within the RC Gold project in the Yukon.
On Monday, the company announced a remarkable find, recording 108 g/t gold over 1.2 meters within a broader zone of 4.15 g/t gold over 38.2 meters in drill hole DDRCCC-23-46. This discovery represents the highest-grade intercept to date for the project, highlighting its potential and promising outlook.
DDRCCC-23-046 highlights:
- 56.0 m of 1.23 g/t Au from 134.0 m including 9.7 m of 2.81 g/t Au from 168.0 m
- 38.2 m of 4.15 g/t Au from 320.8 m including 4.3 m of 33.10 g/t Au from 326.1 m which had 1.2 m of 108.00 g/t Au from 327.8 m.
The RC Gold Project covers a large area in Yukon’s Tombstone Gold Belt, close to Dawson City. It’s strategically located between the Eagle Gold Mine and Brewery Creek Gold Mine. The project includes five properties: RC, Bee Bop, Mahtin, Clear Creek and Barney Ridge.
This year, the company is conducting a 10,000-meter drill program to expand the Blackjack and Eiger gold deposits and explore a new gold target called Josephine. This area is accessible by road and is a 2-hour drive from Dawson City.

Grades of this calibre are unusual for a reduced intrusion-related gold system and along with other high-grade drill intercepts and outcrop rock samples received to date, they suggest the presence of a high-grade element in the gold system at the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex, Sitka Gold’s CEO Cor Coe explained in a statement.
Hole 46 affirms the continued presence of gold mineralization to the east of the current resource boundary, underscoring the potential for mineralization to extend by at least 550 meters into the Saddle Zone. Limited prior test drilling in this area had already yielded promising results, such as 18.8 meters with a grade of 1.34 g/t gold.
The results from Hole 46 further demonstrate the significant discovery potential that still exists around the existing gold deposits and in other parts of the northern extent of the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex.
“We eagerly await the many additional analytical results still to come from our ongoing diamond drilling campaign at RC Gold while we continue to grow our current gold resource, potentially identify consistent zones of high-grade mineralization and test additional high-priority targets within the northern extent of the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex,” Coe said.
Sitka Gold stock went up by 3 per cent to $0.17 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
