“What’s better than sneaking a smoke? Winning stuff.”
That is according to Sneakers, an Arizona-based marijuana supplier that has an exciting new contest for state tokers.
The Mazor Collective brand has put a lucky code inside one of its pre-roll five-packs that will enable the lucky buyer to collect a US$10,000-dollar prize. They cost just under US$30.
The move is aimed at drawing attention to the brand and generating more business in the long run. Despite Sneakers’ desire to obtain more customers, the label’s pre-rolls are one of Arizona’s top sellers.
Public operators like Curaleaf Holdings Inc (TSE: CURA) (OTCMKTS: CURLF) and Trulieve Cannabis Corp (CNSX: TRUL) (OTCMKTS: TCNNF) are known to stock the joints at their Arizona dispensaries. Dozens of privately owned pot shops do too.
The Mazor Collective was founded by Lilach Mazor Power — a former leader at the Arizona Dispensaries Association. She says that an oversupply of marijuana stores in the state has caused the price of cannabis to decline immensely and that it is hard for distributors to turn a profit because of it.
A different marketing approach was necessary to fight against this issue. Local smokers have until Feb. 13 to go out and buy some of the brand’s chronic cigarettes for a chance to be the lucky winner drawn on Valentine’s Day.
“This campaign captures what we do best as a small business,” Power said recently. “Staying bold, staying creative, and finding ways to keep the spirit of innovation alive.”

Mazor Collective is known for charitable endeavours
Through its Giving Tree Dispensary, a fitting name, Power’s brand raised US$2,000 for domestic abuse victims last summer. In 2018, the pot shop pulled even more together and donated US$8,655 to a local domestic abuse shelter in Phoenix.
To date, the dispensary has given over US$90,000 to this and other causes like animal rescue, cancer research, hunger and veteran support.
“Helping others is not only good for them and a good thing to do, it also makes us happier and healthier,” the Arizona pot shop says.
In addition to Sneakers and Giving Tree, the Mazor Collective also includes the Revelry brand. It focuses on cannabis products intended to help women going through menopause.
“Revelry is a plant-based solution designed to alleviate common menopause symptoms and to improve sleep quality, focus and mood,” the brand described.
