Nevada King Gold‘s (CVE: NKG) exploratory drilling has tested wide-space anomalies east of the Atlanta Resource Zone within the Jumbo, Bounty and Crossroads Targets, and assays are presently pending.
The company included these details in a Thursday update on its ongoing Phase III regional drill program at the Atlanta Gold Mine Project in Nevada’s Battle Mountain Trend, some 264 kilometers northeast of Las Vegas.
According to Cal Herron, Nevada King Gold’s CEO, the present drilling is concentrated along the eastern and southern ring fracture systems of the Atlanta Caldera as sufficiently defined by both gravity and drone magnetic data.
“These major structural zones include the SQRT and northern extension of the West Atlanta Fault (Northeast and Lone Ranger Targets) together with the Silver Park region (Corral Target and Silver Park East and West Targets),” said Herron.
CSAMT data reveal several graben-type or cauldron-type depressions within the ring fracture zones of the Paleozoic basement sequence. These depressions may have created structural traps that confined hydrothermal fluids within a small area, similar to the structural conditions observed in the Atlanta resource zone.
The company is actively testing a wide range of prospective structural environments to find evidence of a strong hydrothermal system capable of forming a satellite deposit. Building on insights from our Phase II drilling program, the company understands the geochemistry, alteration, structures, and host rock lithologies associated with such a deposit. Its current focus is on drill-testing highly promising areas to pinpoint additional mineralized zones.

The Battle Mountain Trend brings high value gold
The drill program aims to explore and expand gold resources at the historical Atlanta Mine. This property, with its substantial history of gold and silver production, plays a crucial role in Nevada King’s operations.
The project includes a National Instrument 43-101 compliant pit-constrained resource, hosting 460,000 ounces of gold in the measured and indicated category (11.0 million tonnes at 1.3 grams per tonne) and 142,000 ounces of inferred gold resources (5.3 million tonnes at 0.83 grams per tonne).
The Atlanta Gold Mine sits within the Battle Mountain Trend, a highly productive mineral belt renowned for its significant gold output. Nevada King focuses on uncovering untapped resources and expanding its existing reserves.
In corporate developments, Nevada King granted 6.8 million fully vested stock options to select directors and officers. Priced at $0.35 each, these options are exercisable until January 6, 2030. The issuance complies with the company’s stock option plan and awaits regulatory approval.
The Battle Mountain Trend in Nevada is one of the most prolific gold-producing regions in the world, offering primarily Carlin-type gold deposits. These deposits are characterized by microscopic gold particles disseminated in sedimentary rocks, often associated with arsenic, antimony, and mercury. The trend also hosts low-sulfidation epithermal deposits and porphyry-related gold systems, providing a diverse range of mining opportunities. Known for its vast reserves and high-grade gold, the Battle Mountain Trend has attracted extensive exploration and mining activity. Its unique geology includes thrust faults, intrusions, and mineralized zones that create prime conditions for large-scale, economically viable mining operations.
