Kane Biotech signs Canadian distribution agreement for revyve wound care

The non-exclusive Stevens agreement covers gel and spray formats, but Kane's announcement gives no minimum orders, pricing or revenue forecast.

A new Canadian resale channel is being added as Kane Biotech Inc. CVEKNE announced a non-exclusive distribution agreement with The Stevens Company Limited on Tuesday. The pact covers wound-care gel and spray formats ranging from 1 oz to 5 oz, without disclosing minimum purchases or a revenue forecast.

Effective Oct. 1, the agreement authorizes Stevens to purchase and resell revyve Antimicrobial Wound Gel in 1 oz and 3 oz sizes. It also covers the 5 oz revyve Antimicrobial Wound Gel Spray throughout Canada.

Kane is a Winnipeg biotechnology developer at an early stage of commercializing human wound-care products.

Kane shares CVEKNE were unchanged at C$0.03 at Monday's 4:00 p.m. EDT close on the TSX Venture Exchange. That price preceded Tuesday's announcement and cannot establish the market's response to the agreement.

Stevens is a privately held medical equipment and supplies distributor whose corporate website lists eight distribution centres across Canada as of Oct. 20. Its existing catalogue and national infrastructure give Kane another route to healthcare buyers without granting the distributor exclusive Canadian rights.

The announcement does not disclose wholesale prices, payment terms, the agreement's duration or an initial order value. It describes an additional distribution relationship, leaving the financial contribution dependent on purchases that the release does not quantify.

"Partnering with Stevens brings together two organizations with strong relationships, deep market experience and a shared commitment to improving access to better wound care solutions across Canada," said Patti Burke-Martin, Kane's vice-president of business development in Canada.

Kane says the gel and spray already hold Health Canada licences. It describes the products as supporting a moist wound environment, inhibiting microbial colonization and facilitating debridement, rather than presenting new clinical results alongside the distribution announcement.

The authorized product list does not include revyve Antimicrobial Skin and Wound Cleanser, another product in Kane's portfolio. The Canadian territory also leaves United States distribution outside the announced agreement.

Peers Report Larger Commercial Sales Bases

Kane's Aug. 27 financial update described its revyve commercialization as early stage, with initial sales developing alongside distribution channels. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was less than one-third of the year-earlier level.

That comparison spans a change in business: the previous year's quarterly sales came entirely from legacy animal-health operations and the DermaKB product line, both since exited. Kane reported a gross profit in the latest quarter against a gross loss a year earlier.

In its Aug. 27 update, Kane also said clinical evaluations and case series were underway or awaiting research approval in Canada and the United States. A North American revyve real-world data registry had been initiated.

Sonoma Pharmaceuticals, Inc. NASDAQSNOA, which develops hypochlorous acid products used in wound care, reported 60 per cent revenue growth for the quarter ended June 30. Its Aug. 6 release attributed growth in the United States partly to increased sales through new and existing distributors.

A larger sector benchmark, Convatec Group Plc LONCTEC, reported 3.4 per cent organic growth in advanced wound-care revenue excluding InnovaMatrix for the first half of 2026. Its Aug. 4 results described slower markets and continued growth from ConvaFoam, providing a dated commercial backdrop for Kane's distribution expansion.

The Stevens announcement sets no date for first orders or shipments. Kane's Aug. 27 timetable places its first scientific advisory board meeting in the fourth quarter of 2026 and targets a DispersinB Hydrogel safety trial for 2027.
