Israeli cannabis producer InterCure Ltd. (NASDAQ: INCR) (TSX: INCR.U) (TASE: INCR) says it has opened the largest cannabis pharmacy worldwide.

On Thursday, the announced its 1,000-square-meter flagship Cookies pharmacy in Be’er Sheva, the largest city in Israel’s southern region.

The pharmacy is located in the center of the city right in front of City Hall and the premises include the largest safe room in Israel with a capacity to store over a ton of medical cannabis products.

During the inauguration, InterCure is offering deals and special offers for all patients in the city and the surrounding towns. There will also be live music and food trucks.

San Francisco-based Cookies was founded in 2010 by Gilbert Anthony Milam, commonly known by his rap alias Berner, and his growing partner Jai. It carries products such as Cake Mix, Melonatta, Fly and Ooh La La which are cultivated at InterCure’s southern facility.

InterCure stock went up by 0.70 per cent on Thursday to US$6.51 on the Nasdaq Exchange.

InterCure CEO Alexander Rabinovitch said Be’er Sheva is the ideal location for the launch of the flagship Cookies pharmacy because it meets the needs of local patients suffering from a lack of professional service and high-quality products.

“We are proud to invest in the capital of the south and to open the largest medical cannabis dedicated pharmacy with the widest selection of high-quality branded products, meeting the needs of patients and laying the infrastructure for the future adult-use market.”

InterCure owns Canndoc, which is Israel’s largest licensed cannabis producer and one of the first to be GMP certified. Cannolam LTD  –another subsidiary of the company– offers medical-grade cannabis treatments and is the retail arm of InterCure that operates 23 pharmacies in Israel.

“We are incredibly excited to open Cookies in Be’er Sheva with InterCure. InterCure’s best-in-class production capabilities continue to deliver the highest quality medicine to patients in Israel, and we are thrilled to continue to expand our global footprint with them,” Cookies President Parker Berling said.

In a separate announcement, leading cannabis operator TerrAscend Corp. (CSE: TER) (OTCQX: TRSSF) said it will officially launch Cookies and Gage-branded cannabis products in the State of New Jersey starting on Saturday, June 11.  The products will be available exclusively at The Apothecarium locations in Maplewood and Phillipsburg.
