High Tide Inc. (NASDAQ: HITI) (TSXV: HITI) (FSE: 2LYA) has opened its first Canna Cabana shop in British Columbia after acquiring two Choom shops earlier this month.

On Wednesday, the leading retailer announced the opening of the pot shop located at 100 Street in Fort St. John, B.C. and will begin selling its products at 4:20 this evening.

This is the company’s 128th store across Canada and its first shop in British Columbia. The shop is located in the Peace River region in the largest municipality and it’s close to businesses and only minutes away from the Alaska Highway.

“Our first organic store opening in British Columbia is a much-awaited and very positive milestone for High Tide. This is the result of many months of hard work by our team as we navigated the regulatory process to enter the province,” said CEO Raj Grover.

“I am excited that we finally have the opportunity to bring our innovative discount club model, which has been a proven hit with our customers in the four provinces where we already operate, to British Columbia,” he added.

Last week, the company announced the acquisition of two Choom BC stores in Vancouver and says its entering the province “in a big way” and is already almost halfway to the provincial store cap.

With this foothold in British Columbia, I anticipate that we will be able to expand quickly through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, putting us in a position to reach the cap of 8 stores in the coming months,” he added.

High Tide has North America’s first cannabis discount club under the Canna Cabana banner and has retail kiosks and smart lockers that serve its customers. The company also ranked among Canada’s top 10 growing companies in the third annual report of Business Magazine.
