Exro Technologies (TSX:EXRO) (OTCQB:EXROF) achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification for its manufacturing and engineering centers in Calgary, Alberta.
The certification displays that the company has met certain technical and quality benchmarks required by the ISO for its management system related to research and development, and testing of its Coin Driver inverter for e-mobility, and its Cell Driver energy storage systems.
“This certification is a fundamental building block towards achieving IATF 16949 certification (Global Automotive Quality Management System), ensuring that Exro’s systems and processes are focused on meeting the highest quality, safety, and efficiency standards for our current and future automotive customers. This achievement is a testament to the high-quality, cross-functional, and collaborative efforts of every employee at Exro,” according to Sue Ordemir, chief executive officer of Exro.
Exro Technologies is a clean tech company that develops new generation power control electronics for electric motors and batteries. The company’s tech is in intended to reduce the cost cap in e-mobility and stationary energy storage, while helping to boost adoption towards a circular electrified economy.

Standardization for Calgary factor builds towards certification
The company’s manufacturing centre is a 37,000 square foot inverter manufacturing and assembly facility. The center joins the company’s research and development, design and testing innovation centers in Calgary and Mesa, Arizona. The company also has an EV integration services in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
It brings European automotive standards for cleanliness and track and trace to North America. It also provides customers with an onshore supply chain for powertrain components, capable of producing 100,000 Coil Driver units per year.
Exro announced three initial purchase orders since May 2022, each of which is backed by multi-year sales agreements. Additionally, there’s a new product development with a major European partner in off-highway applications announced in October. Exro will continue backfilling the manufacturing facility production capacity, showing off the customer demand for the company’s products.
