Entourage Health Corp. (TSX-V: ENTG) (OTCQX: ETRGF) has launched a new exclusive line of CBD-infused chewing gum for patients using its medical platform and says the product has been formulated for rapid onset.
The Canadian producer also announced on Monday it added an unnamed new union group to its medical cannabis plan through a partnership with the plan administrator Union Benefits.
The new gum has a eucalyptus-lemon-mint flavour and has been developed in partnership with Denmark’s NordicCan. It contains 20 milligrams of THC per piece in a 10-piece pack and it is only accessible via the Starseed Medicinal website.

The medical cannabis program provides union members and their families with access to practitioners who are knowledgable about the permitting of medical cannabis as an insured benefit.
“Union Benefits is Canada’s only third-party administration company owned and built by the union trust funds we work for,” says the organization.
Union Benefits was established in 1983 and is the administrator of union group benefits to more than 12,000 members. The benefit administrator headquartered in Waterloo Ontario is client-owned.
“Introducing CBD chewing gum allows us to improve the patient experience with a consistent pipeline of products,” said George Scorsis, CEO and Executive Chair of Entourage.
“We are proud to welcome our newest member union to our full-service Starseed medical platform. Through our partnership with Union Benefits, we are eliminating barriers to members accessing medical cannabis as an alternative therapy, educating patients and providing responsible treatment options,” he added.

In July last year, Entourage signed a deal with the telehealth network HelloMD to expand patient access to healthcare practitioners offering cannabis medical care in Canada and created the craft producer-focused medical market place Syndicate.
Last May, the company partnered with Fire & Flower Holdings Corp.’s (TSX: FAF) (OTCQX: FFLWF) delivery subsidiary Pineapple Express to provide speedy deliveries for patients in Ontario. The company also owns a 26,000-square-foot processing facility in Aylmer specializing in cannabis extraction.
In Canada, patients with proper authorization from a health care provider can access medical cannabis by either purchasing it from a federally licensed distributor, designating someone to produce it for them or registering with Health Canada to grow a certain amount on their own.
Entourage’s stock dropped by 20 per cent Tuesday to $0.02 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
