Netherlands-based Deep Sleep Technologies will soon be showcasing its brain wave-modulating shut-eye tech at the world’s largest electronics event. Next year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas will run from Jan. 7-10.

The University of Amsterdam spinout company has developed a patented brainwave analysis and stimulation system that can be integrated into multiple devices. These include the Oura Ring, Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) Watch and certain sleep tech headbands.

CES 2025 attendees will have the opportunity to see how it works through an immersive 3D animation at Deep Sleep’s booth.

“DeepSleep [the technology’s name] can forecast deep sleep waves and stimulate the brain with a non-invasive sonic pulse at the ideal moment to deepen sleep waves, improving sleep quality, depth and brain wave clearing,” the tech developer explained in a news release on Dec. 19.

“Our private space cubicle provides a multi-sensory experience, complete with visuals and sound.”

Deep Sleep claims that it demonstrated the ability to improve sleep quality among 64 per cent of participants in a recent study. Moreover, the investigation showed that it can reduce daytime drowsiness by 78 per cent.

The DeepSleep technology took over a decade of research to develop. Four other studies on the system are currently ongoing.

Deep Sleep joins 49 other Dutch companies

A plethora of the nation’s tech developers will be making their way to Las Vegas next month to show off some of their gadgets. The country’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Dirk Beljaarts, will be leading the intercontinental excursion.

Veridis, a plastic recycling technology company; E-Magy, an electric vehicle battery innovation outfit; and the deep fake detecting identity fraud expert DuckDuckGoose are some of the Netherlands companies that will be joining Deep Sleep on its American adventure.

The CES has been ongoing since 1967. It is primarily held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The event has been the site of multiple influential product debuts. In 1970, the first videocassette recorder (VCR) made its way on onto the stage. This was followed by the first-ever Nintendo gaming system in 1985 and world’s first DVD player in 1996.

Attendance hit an all time high in 2019 at 180,000 people.
