Canadian cannabis producer Decibel Cannabis Company Inc. (TSXV: DB) (OTCQB: DBCCF) completed its first international shipment to an Israeli medical cannabis producer as previously announced.

On Friday, the Calgary-based cannabis producer shipped the first Qwest dried flower batch to the pharmaceutical firm Breath of Life under a $4.8 million supply agreement to launch the brand in Israel. The deal was announced last month after the company received its export certification in June to bring its Canadian bud into the country.

The first shipment includes four Qwest strains including Icicle, Frosted Cherry Cookies, Sour Strawberry x Trophy Wife and Apple Mac.

A second shipment is expected for late Q4 2022 or early Q1 2023 as a result of strong pre-sales of the first shipment. The shipment will include two new Qwest cultivars Terpee Slerpee and Grape Cream Cake.

“This shipment is our first step of many into the international cannabis markets”, Decibel CEO Adam Coates said. “The Qwest brand has built a reputation in Canada as a favourite for consumers with the highest quality, craft cannabis products. As international cannabis markets expand, the demand for more premium products, like Qwest, will be at the forefront of growth and Decibel is well positioned to take a leadership position in this category,” Coates added.

Decibel has three operating production facilities and its own retail business Prairie Records. Its Qwest Estate in Creston, British Columbia is a licensed and operating 26,000-square-foot cultivation space that produces the brands Qwest and Qwest Reserve.

Its Thunderchild Cultivation facility is 80,000 square feet and its located in Battleford, Saskatchewan. And finally, The Plant, Decibel’s extraction facility is located in Calgary, Alberta and has 15,000 square feet of extraction and product development space.
