Cannara is a Quebec-based producer of high-grade cannabis and extracts serving the Canadian market. The company owns two large cultivation facilities in Farnham and Valleyfield with state-of-the-art technology. The grower is pleased to now be partnered with Exotic Genetix, helping to forward its goal of providing top-of-the-line goods.
Exotic Genetix is a small U.S. brand founded by Exotic Mike, an award-winning seed breeder, hash artisan and grower. The company was formed with humble beginnings in 2008 and eventually became very successful, receiving Cannabis Cups from High Times magazine for an assortment of categories.
For those who are unfamiliar, a Cannabis Cup is a very prestigious award in the industry.
“I wanted the biggest, frostiest, rank-smelling flowers I could find, and it became an obsession of mine to find those possibilities. All I could think of day and night was what would come next and how I could get there in the process. Through a network of great friends, and an undying passion for greatness, Exotic Genetix was born and I couldn’t have been prouder of what had been created,” said Exotic Mike.
Cannara says that five out of eight of its genetics were developed by Exotic Mike, including Slapz, Gelato Mint, CBD Runtz, Power Sherb and Galactic Runtz — a testament to the superiority of Exotic’s cannabis, according to the Quebec cultivator.
The terms of the new agreement will give Cannara exclusive rights to market, sell and distribute Exotic Genetix merchandise across Canada. Cannara will also receive ongoing consultations and knowledge from Exotic regarding marketing, cannabis genetics and cultivation techniques.
“We are excited to announce this partnership with one of the premier seed breeders in this industry,” said Nicholas Sosiak, CFO at Cannara.
“I have been waiting a long time to bring Exotic Genetix to Canada and who better to curate the brand than Cannara alongside its flagship brands Tribal, Nugz and Orchid CBD. Their unwavering commitment and ability to grow premium cannabis at scale in state-of-the-art facilities offers the perfect opportunity for our Canadian journey to begin,” said Exotic Mike.
