An event said to attract over 80 per cent of the cannabis industry’s market capitalization in one place will be making its way to Illinois next month.
On Wednesday, Benzinga announced that its Cannabis Capital Conference would be held at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago between September 13-14.
Benzinga says that the Chicago conference will host approximately 2,000 industry operators, advocates, investors and policymakers.

Benzinga is a renowned financial media outlet that describes its Cannabis Capital Conference as the largest and most successful investing and finance event in the industry. The conference was previously hosted in Miami this April and in New York City last October.
The company says that the upcoming event is being held at time when cannabis companies are seeing consistent growth and high sales despite the rate of inflation across the U.S.
“Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference is returning to Chicago at a critical time for the industry when people are questioning how the economic headwinds will impact the strong growth the industry has been experiencing,” said Benzinga CEO, Jason Raznick.
“We’re truly excited about the remarkable range of advocates and investors we’re bringing together in this space to facilitate impactful new ventures and discuss the state of the industry,” added Raznick.
Notable speakers in attendance this September will include Mike Tyson, Boxing Hall of Fame fighter and CEO of Tyson 2.0; Kim Rivers, CEO of Trulieve; and Chris Beals, CEO at WeedMaps.
Ticket prices for accredited investors will begin at US$297 while prices for the general public will be much higher at US$897, increasing for both as the conference draws nearer.
