Banyan Gold drills 20.2m at 1.34 g/t gold in AurMac deposit gap
Six holes test extensions at Airstrip, including mineralization down-dip toward Powerline near the conceptual pit boundary.

Banyan Gold Corp. CVEBYN OTCMKTSBYAGF reported on Wednesday that hole AX-26-921 returned 1.34 grams per tonne gold over 20.2 metres between AurMac's Airstrip and Powerline deposits in Yukon. The hole also returned 1.18 grams per tonne over 27.5 metres, supporting the company's case for extending mineralized zones below Airstrip toward the gap.
Shares rose 3.9 per cent to C$1.60 on the TSX Venture Exchange at the Oct. 27 close, stamped 4 p.m. EDT on CVEBYN. That trading session preceded Wednesday's announcement.
Banyan said the gap intersections lie down-dip, or farther along the downward slope of the rock layers, from Airstrip's main mineralized zones. Gold occurs in sulphide replacement mineralization within carbonaceous metasedimentary rocks near the southern extent of the conceptual resource pit.
The six-hole batch also tested extensions of higher-grade zones in central Airstrip. Banyan presents expansion and improved grades between the deposits as potential outcomes, with further drilling planned to test mineralization at depth within and just south of the conceptual pit boundary.
"Drillhole AX-26-921 produced significant high-grade intersections that suggest potential for expansion and improved grades between the Airstrip and Powerline Deposits," chief executive Tara Christie said in the release.
The Oct. 28 assay highlights are downhole lengths, rather than true widths. The 20.2-metre interval includes 15.40 grams per tonne gold over 0.6 metres.
The 27.5-metre run includes 16.50 grams per tonne over 1.4 metres. The same hole encountered another mineralized interval starting at 85.7 metres downhole.
That interval returned 0.85 grams per tonne over 28.9 metres. It included 12.44 grams per tonne over 1.2 metres.
Another hole at Airstrip's eastern end returned 0.96 grams per tonne over 39.6 metres from a depth of 49.6 metres. Banyan said the eastern drilling highlights potential to improve grades within the deposit's mineralized domains.
Airstrip's principal gold hosts are calcareous metasedimentary rocks above quartzite. Banyan also identified visible gold in quartz veins within the underlying quartzite, a separate exploration target below the main deposit.
AurMac's May 2026 resource contains 3.64 million indicated ounces at 0.68 grams per tonne gold. The inferred category holds 4.98 million ounces at 0.58 grams per tonne, with both categories estimated at a cut-off of 0.30 grams per tonne.
Christie said the program targets areas shown as unmineralized in the current resource model. The company is testing the potential to expand mineralized domains and improve grades between the deposits.

Banyan is testing the quartzite footwall target during the 2026 drill season, with additional down-dip drilling planned near the conceptual pit boundary.
