The Flowr Corporation (TSX.V: FLWR; OTC: FLWPF) has upgraded its leadership team and appointed a new CEO and members of the board of directors.
On Thursday, the Canadian cannabis producer with operations in Kelowna, British Columbia announced the changes and appointed Darren Karasiuk as the new CEO as well as Stephen Arbib as the new chairman and added Marvin Singer as a member of the board.
Previously to this, founder Tom Flow was the interim CEO since March and remains a member of the board.
Karasiuk is a veteran in the cannabis industry where he previously held roles as the CEO of Nova Cannabis which does business under the store banner Value Buds, before that he was the chief commercial officer at Aurora Cannabis Inc. (NASDAQ: ACB) (TSX: ACB).
“I’d like to thank both the Board for the opportunity to lead Flowr and Tom for his leadership while serving as Interim CEO,” said Karasiuk in a statement.
“With a renewed focus on leveraging the company’s core assets and addressing markets it’s best capable of competing and winning in, I’m excited about what Flowr, its team of committed professionals and highly-engaged board will be able to achieve.”

Arbib is a Canadian entrepreneur and a shareholder of Flowr, he also founded Momentum Solutions which is one of the world’s leading logistics and life support service providers.
He founded MedReleaf –sold to Aurora for $3.2 billion in 2018– which was the first ISO 9001 certified cannabis producer in North America and one of the global leaders in the production and research of medicinal cannabis.
