Warriedar Resources Ltd (ASX: WA8) (FRA: 2KI0) has dropped a promising antimony mineral resource estimate as the commodity continues to attract the spotlight.
This MRE comes from an analysis of Warriedar’s flagship Ricciardo gold-antimony deposit at the Golden Range project in Western Australia.
It is projected to contain 60.3 kilo tonnes of the metalloid, making it the second most prolific antimony resource in the country. Furthermore, based on the gold and antimony content delineated at the site, it is estimated to hold a considerable 1.96 million gold equivalent ounces.
“It’s a fantastic start to our antimony journey,” Director and CEO, Amanda Buckingham, said in an interview on May 1. “There is no talk of demand decreasing.”
The next step for Warriedar will be to complete the site’s first extensive drill program prioritizing antimony mineralization.
“We will undertake this work in parallel with our ongoing primary focus, which is further growing the existing gold resources at Golden Range via targeted extensional and new discovery drilling through 2025,” Buckingham said in a release from the company.
There is only one larger antimony resource in Australia — the Hillgrove gold-antimony project held by Larvotto Resources Ltd (ASX: LRV) (FRA: K6X), estimated to hold 93 kilo tonnes. It is the eighth largest in the world, according to Larvotto, and will produce about 7 per cent of the world’s antimony beginning next year at 5,400 tonnes per annum.

Nevada is Warriedar’s other area of operation
Aside from gold and antimony in Western Australia, the ASX-listed operator is focused on its Big Springs Carlin-style gold project in the renowned American mining state of Nevada.
It sits adjacent to the Jerritt Canyon operation held by First Majestic Silver Corp. (TSE: AG) (NYSE: AG) (FRA: FMV) in Elko County.
Nevada is primarily renowned for gold and silver mining, but significant antimony mineralization has been discovered here as well.
NevGold Corp (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50) and Global Tactical Metals Corp (CNSX: MONI) (FRA: A7F) are two companies that have been pulling high-grade antimony grab and core samples in recent weeks.
The United States government has recognized antimony as a critical mineral. It is primarily extracted from stibnite — the primary antimony ore. Other lesser-known sources include valentinite, cervantite and tetrahedrite.
