Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI) has been recognized as a top finalist for the “Best Headworn Device” category by the team at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) Auggie Awards.
Shares rose by 13 per cent on Monday due to the recognition. The company will participate in the Augmented World Expo USA 2025 between June 10 through June 12 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.
Separately, the company announced that tech-space online publication, XR Today, has named Vuzix the Winner of Most Innovative XR Product in its annual XR Awards.
AWE hosts the world’s largest conference and expo for professionals in AR, VR, and wearable technology. At this event, Vuzix will privately showcase its smart glasses lineup, including the Ultralite Pro.
This lightweight 3-D binocular display platform supports both enterprise and consumer applications. Vuzix will also present its full suite of OEM services and white label products.
These offerings help customers and partners bring solutions to market faster.
Additionally, they eliminate costly engineering, design, and manufacturing hurdles. Vuzix continues to expand its role as a key enabler in next-generation wearable technology.
“We are honored to be named a winner by XR Today,” said Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix. “This award highlights Vuzix’ ability to innovate and execute, showcasing how our products enhance user experiences, streamline operations, and deliver measurable results.
The XR Awards 2025 stands as a premier global event celebrating excellence in extended reality. It highlights achievements in VR, AR, and mixed reality (MR).
The Academy of International Extended Reality (AIXR) also organizes this annual ceremony. It honors outstanding contributions across key sectors such as healthcare, logistics, enterprise solutions, and social impact. Additionally, the awards recognize innovation in immersive entertainment.

Russel joins the Russell 3000
Adding to the momentum, Vuzix recently secured two significant AI-driven partnerships, further solidifying its role in enterprise solutions.
One collaboration integrates inventory tracking into its smart glasses, such as the Vuzix Blade 2, for a major logistics firm. Vuzix partnered with productivity platform, Ramblr to use AR for improving maintenance, training, and field service productivity.
Furthermore, Vuzix is slated to go live on the Russell 3000 on June 27, 2025. This move boosts its visibility among institutional investors. Additionally, such recognition often attracts long-term investment. Also, it supports today’s upward price action. Funds and investors are reassessing the stock’s value.
The company also drew social media attention with a post featuring wingsuit pilot Jason Dodunski using the Vuzix Blade 2. He relied on custom apps to access real-time speed, altitude, and weather data while flying over 100 mph. Dodunski placed second at the Australian Nationals with more than 2,500 tech-enabled jumps.
He described the glasses as a “heads-up dashboard” that helped him navigate difficult courses. Furthermore, this example shows how Vuzix products perform reliably under extreme conditions. Additionally, it reinforces the real-world utility of their smart glasses.
Today’s surge aligns with a broader market rally, with the S&P 500 climbing toward new highs, bolstered by strong economic data and easing concerns over tariffs.
While some analysts remain cautious, noting Vuzix’s unprofitability and fundamental challenges in a recent Seeking Alpha report, the combination of innovation, partnerships, and market momentum has overshadowed these concerns for now.
The stock’s performance today, establishing support at USD$3.15 and pushing higher, suggests a potential “next leg up” as traders and investors bet on Vuzix’s role in the expanding AR and XR markets.
