Resolution Minerals antimony project attains FAST-41 status

These sites achieve a record of decision 1.5 years faster on average

Resolution Minerals Ltd (OTCMKTS: RLMLF) (FRA: NC3) (ASX: RML) has secured a major milestone that could slash years off the timeline to develop its antimony-rich deposit in Idaho.

As of early April, the company’s Antimony Ridge prospect now carries FAST-41 designation under the federal Permitting Transparency Program. It is part of the larger Horse Heaven Project.

Attaining this status signals strong government support for a project that sits on high-grade antimony and could help restore domestic supplies of a mineral essential for defence tech, munitions, batteries and flame retardants.

The Permitting Transparency Program forms a core piece of the FAST-41 framework, which government authorities created in 2015 to speed up reviews of major infrastructure projects. Instead of agencies working independently with little coordination, the program pulls them together under one coordinated schedule.

Teams set firm deadlines for environmental studies and approvals, then post every milestone on a public dashboard so everyone can track progress in real time. Projects win selection when they promise big economic payoffs or tackle national priorities such as critical minerals.

Resolution earned its place because Antimony Ridge holds some of the highest-grade antimony in the country, lies next to Perpetua Resources Corp‘s (TSE: PPTA) (NASDAQ: PPTA) Stibnite project, and once supplied the U.S. military during both world wars and the Korean conflict. The designation now clears a faster path for bulk sampling and drilling.

“I am pleased to see the Antimony Ridge Project receive FAST-41 transparency status,” said American Congressman Russ Fulcher. “Ensuring we have a strong domestic supply of this natural resource — sourced right here in Idaho in an environmentally friendly way — is vital to U.S. national defence and economic security.”

Antimony becomes a high priority for U.S. strategy

This development arrives as Washington sharpens its focus on rebuilding antimony production inside American borders.

For decades the United States imported nearly all its supply from China, but export restrictions and global tensions have changed the game.

The government has responded with direct investments to jump-start domestic capacity. Perpetua has received more than US$80 million in Defense Department funding to advance the Stibnite gold-antimony operation. Additionally, United States Antimony Corp (NYSEAMERICAN: UAMY) recently landed a US$27 million grant from the Department of War to modernize processing facilities in Montana.

Smaller companies like NevGold Corp (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50) have been attracting attention too. Its Limousine Butte project in Nevada keeps turning up high-grade antimony-gold intercepts that indicate the project could reach production faster and cheaper than many traditional mines.

Other miners ride the FAST-41 wave

A select group of other companies have earned the same FAST-41 nod for projects that deliver strategic minerals and metals.

Equinox Gold Corp (TSE: EQX) (NYSEAMERICAN: EQX) (FRA: 1LRC) secured the designation to expand its Castle Mountain mine in California and lift annual gold output by roughly 200,000 ounces.

In addition, Liberty Gold Corp (TSE: LGD) (OTCMKTS: LGDTF) (FRA: PGW) has gained coverage for its Black Pine gold project in Idaho, a large-scale operation expected to create hundreds of jobs.

In New Mexico, Laramide Resources Ltd (TSE: LAM) (OTCMKTS: LMRXF) (FRA: L4R) won spots for its Crownpoint-Churchrock and La Jara Mesa uranium projects to help build domestic fuel supplies for clean energy and national defence.

Every case sees federal officials picking winners that strengthen supply chains and reduce reliance on foreign sources.
