Luxury brand Caviar transforms Unitree’s G1 robot into world’s 1st luxury humanoid

The Russian company specializes in turning tech gadgets into extravagant pieces

Russian-founded luxury brand Caviar has unveiled a stunning customization of the Chinese Unitree G1 humanoid robot.

This bespoke creation, named Aladdin, serves as a modern-day AI-integrated embodiment of the genie from the Middle Eastern folktale One Thousand and One Nights.

Caviar’s aesthetic transformation of the robot is focused on beautifying it rather than making any hardware changes. Like the standard G1, it is capable of fluid natural movements, complex gestures, obstacle navigation and acrobatic maneuvers.

The brand’s designers drew their inspiration from traditional Eastern ceremonial garments like the chapan, caftan or qaba. Most notably though, the humanoid is decorated with gold and jewels that turn it into a luxurious addition to any household. Pricing remains undisclosed at the moment, but it’s safe to assume that it will be considerably higher than the standard G1. The robot normally goes for approximately US$15,000.

For collectors seeking innovation and extravagance, Aladdin represents a rare intersection of artistry and artificial intelligence.

Its creator, Caviar, is a brand that specializes in luxury personalization of high-tech devices. It turns everyday gadgets into extravagant works of art. Through partnering with innovative tech firms, Caviar targets collectors seeking unique pieces that can perform useful tasks while turning heads. Its primary focuses are smart watches and smartphones.

Unitree Robotics, Caviar’s partner in creating the world’s first luxury humanoid, holds a commanding presence in the robotics industry. The company dominates the quadruped/dog robot industry with a 70 per cent market share and pulls over US$141 million in annual revenue.

The autonomous technology specialist’s humanoids are also among the world’s most popular, integrating AI and LiDAR technology for versatile applications and performance with complicated entertainment and industrial tasks.

Unitree ranks among top industry influences such as AgiBot and Ubtech Robotics Corp Ltd (OTCMKTS: UBTRF) (FRA: 7US) (HKG: 9880). The robot firm’s founder, Wang Xingxing, appeared on the TIME100 AI List last year.

Unitree is on track to complete its public launch on the Shanghai STAR Market mid-way through this year, targeting a valuation US$7 billion post-IPO.
