Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. (CVE: SCAN) (OTCMRKTS: LDDFF) (FSE: E30) has joined the NVIDIA Connect Program in a move aimed at accelerating its AI-driven security technology. The company develops next-generation detection systems that spot concealed weapons and other threats. Executives said the program will give Liberty access to advanced hardware, expert training, and co-development channels that support faster innovation.
Liberty expects the partnership to improve automated threat detection across its platform, which includes High-Definition Advanced Imaging Technology, Open Architecture systems, and its HEXWAVE scanner. The firm also plans to expand its threat scope and increase detection speed. Additionally, Liberty intends to use the program to support new AI capabilities that could improve real-time decision making.
Access to NVIDIA engineers will allow Liberty to refine its coding models. The company said this step may push its technology toward broader commercial deployment. Furthermore, Liberty plans to strengthen its AI processing to improve threat identification accuracy. It also expects the initiative to help scale its products across airports, stadiums, schools, and other public sites.
Bill Frain, CEO of Liberty Defense, said acceptance into the program marks a major advancement for the company.
“We’re highly encouraged by the early progress we’ve made utilizing NVIDIA’s tools in edge-AI deployment for standalone HEXWAVE units, which we believe will support seamless integration into existing security infrastructures,” said Frain.
The company believes the Connect Program will help it prepare for emerging threats as well. Additionally, Liberty aims to use improved processing speed to reduce bottlenecks in high-traffic environments. The firm said more capable AI models will also support “future proofing” as new risks appear.

Hexwave has been deployed in multiple airports
Liberty sees the partnership as a way to deepen its long-term AI strategy. In addition, the company expects broader innovation due to shared development work with NVIDIA scientists. The move reflects Liberty’s push to create more efficient screening systems that can adapt as security demands evolve.
HEXWAVE is a screening portal that uses low-power radar and millimeter-wave imaging with artificial intelligence are used to analyze people in real time. The system builds three-dimensional data so software flags concealed metallic and non-metallic threats in bags or under clothing.
The screening is contactless and does not require physical searches. Additionally, HEXWAVE aims to move people quickly, which reduces lines and allows more flexible checkpoint layouts. Over the past year, Palm Springs International Airport in California deployed HEXWAVE for aviation worker screening.
Furthermore, Liberty announced contracts for HEXWAVE units at New Terminal One at JFK International Airport in New York for aviation worker screening checkpoints.
In addition, one of the largest international airports in the United States ordered multiple systems for staff checkpoints. Airports are running pilot installations to meet new worker-screening mandates from the Transportation Security Administration.
