Bringing clear X-ray pictures straight into a patient’s living room can help side-step a tiring journey to and through the hospital.
South Korean medtech firm Rayence Co Ltd (KOSDAQ: 228850) is striving to elevate this convenience to new heights through the launch of its latest portable systems — Anywhere-M and Anywhere-V. These build on the firm’s earlier DPX unit, which already offered a compact digital setup with wireless panels.
The new models go further by packing a generator, high-resolution detector and dedicated software into an all-in-one workflow. Users will face minimal setup and skip long calibrations so images appear promptly, the firm claims.
Anywhere-M serves human care in homes, emergencies or disaster sites. Anywhere-V suits vets treating pets, horses or wildlife in the field. Both stand out thanks to the new Smart High-resolution Image Noise Elimination (SHINE) feature. This smart tool is designed to cut noise from low-dose images and more than double the signal clarity, producing sharp hospital-grade results without extra hardware. It delivers hundreds of shots per charge and includes lights and lasers for precise aiming in dim places.
These newly launched systems could hold their own against leaders such as FUJIFILM Holdings Corp‘s (OTCMKTS: FUJIF) lightweight handheld options, MinXray’s rugged field units and OXOS Medical’s ultra-compact devices. Rayence’s edge comes from the complete integration plus SHINE’s noise reduction, which delivers clearer pictures at lower doses than many rivals may achieve with simpler bundles.
Aside from the leaders, other notable players also advance mobile X-ray tech. Texas-based KnovelCam supplies flexible systems for clinics and orthopaedics that move easily between rooms. In Asia, Singapore General Hospital has long used mobile units for bedside care, especially to protect staff and patients during outbreaks.
Listed on the Korean stock exchange, Rayence has its base in Hwaseong, South Korea. It runs offices in the United States, Germany and Japan, and serves markets across Asia, Europe and the Americas. Beyond portables, the firm makes digital detectors for general X-rays, dental work, veterinary use and industrial checks. It also supplies imaging software and systems for mammography and specialised scans.
