EV Resources reports high-grade rock chip assays from Nevada antimony projects

Milton and Dollar have both yielded considerable mineralization in samples

EV Resources Ltd (FRA: R1EA) (ASX: EVR) has discovered high-grade antimony (Sb) samples at Nevada’s Dollar and Milton projects.

Surface rock chip samples from Dollar, released on Jan. 27, yielded grades as high as 15 per cent Sb. Additionally, they held copper (Cu) mineralization of up to 17.8 per cent and extremely high-grade silver (Ag) in excess of 10,000 parts per million or grams per tonne.

Silver rock samples this rich are not uncommon in exploration as surface rock chips can showcase concentrated pockets of high-grade mineralization from veins and outcrops. They are not a representation of the entire deposit and their discovery merits follow-up drilling to determine the average grade of mineralization. The sample that yielded this grade was deemed to be “overlimit” because it surpassed the laboratory’s upper detection limit.

Other results from Dollar included 7.3 per cent Sb and 696 grams per tonne Ag. At Milton, the new assays showed up to 9.8 per cent antimony, 24 per cent copper and 434 grams per tonne silver.

These discoveries confirm the presence of systems containing multiple metals and minerals in high demand at the moment. They build upon Dollar’s history of producing approximately 30 tons of antimony during the Second World War.

Compared to other recent rock chip samples taken from Nevada’s soil, EV Resources’ grades are quite appealing. They align with and often exceed the surface antimony levels from NevGold Corp‘s (CVE: NAU) (OTCMKTS: NAUFF) (FRA: 5E50) Limousine Butte project, where core and rock sample assays have hit up to 6.8 per cent and 5.9 per cent Sb, respectively.

Results from companies like these highlight the region’s robust potential for deposits of value.

“Combination of very encouraging results from both Dollar and Milton projects in Nevada puts us at the doorstep of U.S. Army’s Critical Metals Supply Depot and offers us significant operational synergies in one of the world’s most favourable mining jurisdictions,” said Managing Director and CEO Mike Brown, “currently receiving significant assistance as the U.S. rushes to fill supply deficits in Chinese dominated metals.”

Antimony sampling results are good, but not spectacular

Globally, EV’s 15 per cent antimony grade aligns with top notch deposits in China’s Xiangzhong Belt where ore grades typically range between 3 to 15 per cent.

However, these rock chip grades do not quite compare to recent samples taken by Resolution Minerals Ltd (OTCMKTS: RLMLF) (FRA: NC3) (ASX: RML) in Idaho with Sb content as high as 48.7 per cent.

The proximity of EV’s projects to the Hawthorne Army Depot, an American strategic minerals reserve site, could one day offer the company key advantages. EV could potentially gain access to secure storage, railway links and refining infrastructure during future phases of the project as a result, thereby decreasing logistics costs.

Antimony is currently trading for approximately US$18 per pound in the United States. Prices have risen sharply since early 2025, driven by export curbs from major suppliers and demand from defence and renewables sectors.
