Breath Diagnostics leaders promote their mission at Miami investment conference

The National Investment Banking Association’s event unites micro and small cap companies with potential investors

Breath Diagnostics company leaders made their way to Miami last week to connect with investors and educate attendees about the unique nature of their medical technology.

The National Investment Banking Association’s (NIBA) 151st investment conference was held from Sept. 16 to 17 at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. Since 1982, the organization’s events have served as an opportunity for micro and small cap companies to network with potential financing partners and share their stories.

The NIBA says that its members are responsible for 90 per cent of American IPOs under US$20 million and have collectively raised over US$100 billion for emerging growth companies.

Breath Diagnostics’ CEO Ivan Lo and President Aaron Roebuck had the chance to talk about their company’s recent progress with an innovative breath test used to accurately identify lung cancer. The company’s OneBreath system stands out because of its non-invasive, radiation-free and efficacious nature.

In addition to lung cancer, OneBreath recently proved its ability to predict pneumonia onset among those who have undergone heart surgery, signifying a significant medical breakthrough. It harnesses the power of machine learning and advanced mass spectrometry to provide highly valuable insights.

Lo had the opportunity to give a speech at the podium regarding the future of lung cancer screening, the mission of Breath Diagnostics and other pertinent topics.

“CEO [Lo] was good communicator and gave an excellent presentation,” said AL Aneja, chief executive of VendorGroup. Aneja’s company is a Miami-based digital agency serving public operators with website design, press release distribution and other services.

Breath Diagnostics was joined by over 25 other presenting companies from sectors like biotech, mining, technology, environmental services and artificial intelligence.

“We’re excited to explore strategic partnerships and potential M&A opportunities that could accelerate our momentum towards uplisting to a senior exchange such as Nasdaq or NYSE,” commented 1606 Corp (OTCMKTS: CBDW) CEO, Austen Lambrecht, prior to attending. Lambrecht’s company specializes in AI chatbots.

Breath Diagnostics continues fundraising effort

The Kentucky medtech developer’s visit to the Fort Lauderdale networking event coincides with an ongoing Regulation CF (crowdfunding) offering. Breath Diagnostics is aiming to raise US$3 million through this capital raise endeavour and is almost 20 per cent of the way there with more than US$598,000 pulled together.

“Through Regulation CF, we invite you to invest in Breath Diagnostics and join us in bringing this life-saving technology to market,” the company said earlier this year. “This isn’t just for accredited investors—anyone can become part of our mission.”

The fundraising launch follows Breath Diagnostics’ careful decision to appoint Roebuck as President of the company. He brings almost three decades of respiratory and cardiopulmonary medicine expertise to the table.

“Aaron brings extensive industry experience that will help accelerate our development efforts with the goal of bringing OneBreath to market,” said Lo in a statement on Oct. 31.

Roebuck explained that he was honoured to join Breath Diagnostics at such a pivotal time and help the company advance into the commercialization phase with OneBreath.

“Any company Aaron Roebuck supports is a meaningful investment opportunity in my eyes!” said VERO Biotech‘s National Director of Respiratory Specialists, Lee Wisdom, on Thursday.

Breath Diagnostics representatives were also recently in attendance at a lung cancer screening and treatment forum held by the American Lung Association and the American Thoracic Society’s annual conference. Additionally, Lo gave a presentation at the Life Science Intelligence USA Emerging Medtech Summit in March.
