Arras Minerals Corp. CVEARK OTCMKTSARRKF reported on Thursday that hole EL26042 returned 574 metres grading 0.40 per cent copper equivalent at Berezski Central in Kazakhstan. A separate hole at K-Ozek cut 22.8 metres grading 5.37 grams per tonne gold, adding a high-grade gold intercept to the company's more than seven-kilometre Berezski trend alongside its broad copper-gold intervals.
Arras shares rose 4.0 per cent to C$1.30 at the 4 p.m. EDT close on Thursday, Oct. 8, on the TSX Venture Exchange, according to the CVEARK quote page.
The Berezski Central interval began 98 metres downhole and contained a 211-metre section grading 0.62 per cent copper equivalent. At K-Ozek, hole EL26039 included 13.8 metres grading 8.84 grams per tonne gold from 129.9 metres.
The results come from Arras's ongoing 40,000-metre Elemes drill program. The company says the K-Ozek gold system sits between the Berezski Central and Berezski North porphyry targets, while its proposed deeper porphyry beneath K-Ozek remains untested.
A second Berezski Central hole, EL26041, returned 707 metres grading 0.26 per cent copper equivalent beginning four metres downhole. Its deeper section included 217 metres at 0.31 per cent copper equivalent from 492 metres, according to the assay table in Arras's Oct. 8 release.
At K-Ozek, the 22.8-metre gold interval also included 6.1 metres grading 17.0 grams per tonne gold. Another hole, EL26029, returned 229 metres at 0.30 grams per tonne gold from two metres downhole.
That broader K-Ozek interval contained 25 metres grading 1.11 grams per tonne gold from 174 metres, the Oct. 8 assay results show. Arras says the results show gold mineralization across several areas, rather than one isolated structure.
Arras describes K-Ozek as a structurally down-dropped block that may have preserved a shallower gold system above a deeper porphyry. The company says the deeper target is a geological interpretation and has yet to be confirmed by drilling.
"We do not yet know the answer to that, and it will require drilling, but the geological model is compelling," Arras chief executive Tim Barry said in the Oct. 8 release.
The reported intervals are lengths measured along the drill core, and Arras says their true widths are unknown. Hole EL26042's main interval averaged 0.11 per cent copper and 0.23 grams per tonne gold; the copper-equivalent grade also incorporates silver and molybdenum under assumed metal prices and recoveries.
The company's Oct. 8 copper-equivalent calculation used US$3.75 a pound for copper and US$3,000 an ounce for gold. It assumed recoveries of 90 per cent for copper and 85 per cent for gold.
Arras's Oct. 8 plan map marks holes EL26064 and EL26067 as having results pending.
Among the next results in Arras's 2026 Elemes program are assays for EL26064 and EL26067, both marked pending on its Oct. 8 map.
