Tampa’s public marijuana operator Fluent Corp (CNSX: FNT.U) (OTCMKTS: CNTMF) (FRA: 2WM0) is getting ready for Santa Claus a little bit early this year.
On Tuesday, the company announced that it was now selling a pair of limited edition distillate vaporizer flavours throughout its Florida retail network. “Reindeer Reefer” and Festivus Frost MOODS-branded cartridges are now available for state customers.
“Get blitzed with Reindeer Reefer MOODS,” the legal cannabis distributor stated in a news release. “Derived from a Girl Scout Cookies strain, this Indica-leaning hybrid features a spiced cocoa muddled mint flavour that brings holiday magic and soothing relaxation.”
FLUENT says the other, Festivus Frost, has a “crisp piney peppermint” flavour that inspires a mood suitable for holiday parties, decorating a Christmas tree or taking a stroll through an enchanted winter forest. The extract is derived from a Jack Herer cultivar: a sativa-heavy hybrid.
“With Reindeer Reefer and Festivus Frost, we’re bringing a touch of fun and festivity to the season all bundled in its own holiday sweater sleeve,” added chief executive Dave Vautrin in the announcement.
Vautrin just attended the Business of Cannabis: New York Summit at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn. On Nov. 6, he was joined on stage by Shahbaaz Kara-Virani, VP of Growth at Blaze and Gotham NYC chief executive Joanne Wilson.
Other notable speakers at the invitational conference included Drug Policy Alliance founder Ethan Nadelmann; Liana Benson, Enterprise Sales Manager of WM Technology Inc (NASDAQ: MAPS) subsidiary Weedmaps; and Cannabis Media Council Executive Director, Amy Deneson.
“Our mission is to highlight not only the promise of New York as the largest emerging cannabis market, but also the position New York will hold as the global capital of cannabis finance, thought leadership, and innovation,” the organizers said.
The event also aims to address critical issues in the state’s regulated cannabis sector. It has been held annually since 2021.
FLUENT is expecting to complete an inaugural harvest at its new facility in Buffalo, New York in the immediate future. The process will be wrapped up by month-end.
In other news, the company concluded the first harvest at its Rosa facility in Florida earlier this month. It yielded over 400 pounds of flower.
FLUENT’s cash and cash equivalents balance rose by 169 per cent year-over-year to US$22.9 million in Q2, bolstered by a US$10-million-dollar equity raise and operating cash flow of US$3.2 million. The cultivator’s total debt is sitting at US$78.1 million, which is manageable with current liquidity but contingent on the New York harvest and margin recovery meeting fourth quarter targets.
Q3 results will be released on Nov. 13.
