Remark Holdings (NASDAQ:MARK) will use artificial intelligence to detect security incidents and breaches in the popular entertainment district in Las Vegas

Remark announced a partnership with the Fremont Street Experience to use its artificial intelligence powered Smart Safety Platform (SSP) and Smart Sentry Units. SSP allows organizations to make data-driven decisions in real-time.

“Our Smart Safety Platform takes raw video content and turns it into data-driven intelligence with actionable insights and real-time alerts on potential security breaches. Users can monitor and respond to incidents in real time, simplify and automate security operations, and accelerate response times,” said Kai Shing Tao, chief executive officer of Remark Holdings.

Remark’s SSP features include generating alerts for proactive security and safety in real time. These include intelligence, pre-and-post forensic investigation, as well as meta-data searches using physical and object-recognition tech to expedite the investigation process. It also includes advanced detection for intrusion, loitering, objects and vehicles.

The technology is sensitive enough to deploy preventative behavioural analysis regarding large capacity people counting and crowds. Also, it’s useful for loitering, dropping of unattended bags, vandalism, graffiti and fights. It also possesses fire, object and smoke detection capabilities, and a visual dashboard with insights and reports for daily monitoring.
